turn it off, move the carrier by hand it should move fairly freely if it doesn't look for debris on the bottom of the T/W, Also spray a little WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on.
Check for debris inside T/W, put some WD40 on the silver shaft that the carrier rides on. If these fail check the wiring harness about 1" from carrier you may find broken wires there.
It sounds like a keyboard problem, maybe a spill, if so lit it sit on its side for a couple of days it may dry and heal itself, otherwise you will need a tech.
