First the coffee grinder stopped working -- the refill beans message would not stop. Yes I tried over and over by selecting a product and the message would not leave. I phoned for assistance they suggested my beans were too oily so empty the beans and dry it out for a few days. Done with no success. Now this morning I tried to use the powder section. It no longer works. The water is full. Moreover I knew immediately something else was wrong when no water came out with the Maintenance that occurs when you first turn the machine on. All of this occurred after the first cleaning. I paid cad 2OOO for this less than three months ago. I am very very displeased. Sending it back for servicing is 3000 miles away in Ontario I live in Victoria bc. Do you have any ideas please?

I always start by turning machine off at the power point and rebooting machine. i have a Jura but not your model - try pulling out the drawer and container that collects the used ground coffee and with a damp cloth put your hand up in the machine to the shute and wipe away any residue that might be left there. good luck

Unusual one that one. Have you ever used grind crystals to clean out the coffee grinders? It will get rid of the coffee oils and gunge.

Sometimes certain beans do not move freely throughout the grinder. Oily beans, which is not necessarily a bad thing, do not fall into the grinder easily and tend to stick. It is necessary to sometimes to just poke or stir the beans around with your finger to make sure they fall into the grinder. For a safety measure do this while your machine is turned off.

The grinder grinds too long, then stops and then the bean refill light goes on, ---there are plenty of beans but no coffee being made. I think the grinder is not working somehow. Its a 5 year old Saeco...

The lever under the bean hopper is set to low. Push it all the way to the back.
There is a leverbehind the door in the middle top. Pull it to the minus and try again.
If that doesn't work you are going to have to take the grinder apart and clean it.

It grinds the beans, but just a trace amount of coffee is brewed and drips out.

My F9 started with the "Fill Beans" routine even though there were plenty. The grinder started making a high-pitched noise, which Capresso's customer service told me was indicative of something being stuck in the grinder (like the stones mentioned in the manual).

Their suggestions ranged from vacuuming out the grinder to blowing compressed air into it, to "burping" the machine -- which they describe as hitting it mildly while grinding. Kind of a Heimlich maneuver on the thing.

Still no success, but I did turn the unit upside down a few times and shook out a *lot* of coffee grounds. This led me to believe that the grinder was still working, but something was blocking it down low. So I ran the cleaning cycle twice, and voila, coffee again.

An interesting aside was that the first dump from the first cleaning delivered the usual grounds but also some more pasty-like remains, and pretty dirty water. The dump water from the second cycle was very clear. This is a testimonial to the efficacy of the cleaning process. If you don't do this when the machine requests it, you are running the risk of gumming it up. I know (now); I had been ignoring the request to clean it for about a week and a half...

My Jura Ena 5 gives a 'fill beans' message even though the hopper is full and it won't grind the beans even though it seems to be operating. Help.

Same thing happening to me right now. I think this has something to do with having used flavored beans (which I was warned not to do). Supposedly they gum up the machine.

Fill beans message keeps coming up on jura capresso impressa s9

You need to open the grinder, it`s probably packed with old fine powdered coffee that blocks the outlet. Clean this out and try again. Since it works normal when you use pre-ground coffee, there shouldn`t be any problems with any other parts.

Let me know if you want a description for have to open and clean the grinder.

Good luck!

Where can I find an Jura Capresso Impressa F9 replacement lid

The only sources I have been able to find are in Europe. They do not always wish to ship to the US however. In the US the dealers always want the repair, but seldome wish to sell parts outright. Try this website for parts.
