You need the bios master password for your Dell laptop which you can get at http://www.unlockbiosrecovery.com/Unlock_Dell_Bios.php Just order the Dell bios master password for $20 and they guarantee it to clear your currently set bios password. I use them often in my work repairing laptops.

What is master Bios Master Password of IBM???2647 is The Model??

Are you asking for the password number itself, because only the guy that set it would know. If you are asking what it is, here: BIOS ( basic input/output system) is the basic boot program on the board that allows user interface with the chip. One can set a BIOS password to lockout a user from access. Problem is...is if you have the computer you can reset it by changing the BIOS jumper on the board. Typically a jumper will be found across pins #1 and #2 as the default position, and by shutting the computer down, unplugging the power cord and then moving the jumper so that it is across pins #2 and #3 will clear the Bios/CMOS settings.

When you turn the macbook on it asks for a username and password and i recently changed it and didnt write it down is there anyway of getting passed it

Did you choose a security question? (helps recover password)

OR Try This (taken from another forum)

"Try this
Although there's no real way to recover a lost root password, you can change the root password even if you do not know the current one. You must have physical access to the machine in order to accomplish this task.

Click Restart at the login window
While the computer is restarting, hold down "Command-S" until you see text scrolling through the window.
This boots the computer into single user mode.

At the Localhost% prompt type:
/sbin/mount -uw //sbin/SystemStarter

You will then see various services starting up.

When the Localhost% prompt reappears, type:
passwd root

It will then ask you to type the new root password twice, so do so.

After entering the new password, type:
reboot

At the login window, enter username root wih the new password.

Once you are connected, you can use the Multiple Users application (/Applications/Utilities) to change your normal user's password, or create a new user account."

I forgot my password for my laptop dell inspiron 1720

Hello,

This works with windows XP or Vista-

Windows Vista Repair through DVD Windows Vista comes with a very handy feature from Windows ME days -- System Restore. Vista's System Restore is far more sophisticated than its previous iterations and can be of a real help here. 1. Just pop in the Vista DVD, make sure your BIOS is able to boot (start) from DVD-ROM first.
2. Press any key to boot from DVD when asked.
3. Set the Language to install, Time and currency format and Keyboard or input method
4. Now click Repair your computer, select the operating system that you want to repair, and then click Next.
5. Click System Restore, and then click Next.
6. Click the restore point that was a day before you changed the password, and then click Next.
Doing this will set your computer back in time to the particular date when it was working fine. Don't worry, you won't lose any data -- only that any settings or programs installed after that date will not be accessible anymore. All you've to is re-install and redo any settings that you did.
7. Confirm the disks that you want to restore, and then click Next.
8. Click Finish, and then click Yes when you are prompted.
9. When the System Restore process is complete, hit Restart computer.
10. You can either remove the Windows DVD or just don't hit any key on the keyboard when it asks again to "Press any key." The computer will start much faster if you remove the Vista DVD.
11. After the computer restarts, click Close to confirm that the System Restore process has finished successfully.
12. After you log on with the old password, change the password for the administrator account if you like.
13. This step is most important -- Remember the password this time.
14. Restart the computer to make sure that your new password works fine.

Password problem

Sounds like a bios password. check which bios your machine and google bios backdoor passwords. You will find a list of master passwords. If this doesn't work try removing the bios battery then power on the machine and switch it off again. replace the battery and your machine might start. I have successfully used both methods.
