Font.f1 {font: 12.0px Helvetica} Thanks for asking your question with Fixya Support. I will be glad to assist you.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

• First, hold in your power button for approximately 10 seconds to do a hard shutdown, if you have not already turned your Macbook Air off.

• Once your Macbook Air is shutdown, you will need to perform what is called a PRAM reset (Parameter RAM)

• Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously .

• Turn on the computer.
• Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears.

• Now, hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the third time.

• Release the keys and allow the Macbook to start up.

font.f1 {font: 12.0px Times} • Attempt to login to your main user login account.

If this procedure does not work, then I recommend you take your Mac OS X installation disc and perform a Password Reset.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't worry, this procedure will not delete any files on your Mac OS X volume, it is just a simple password reset utility which can allow you to fix any password for your user account.

BOOT TO TIGER/LEOPARD DISK-
• Place your installation Disk (Tiger or Leopard I presume) into your drive and
allow it to load.
• Restart your Mac
• As soon as you hear the Apple Chime, press the "C" key on your keyboard
and hold it.
• You will see a White Screen, Grey Apple first, do not release the C key until you
see a Spinning gear.
• Once you see that Spinning gear, release your C key and allow the disc to continue loading

- RESETTING ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD-
(Works for both Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger), Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard)

• When the booting to the Mac OS X disc is completed, you will now be in the
Installer environment
• Enter to next page, look up on upper left corner you should see "Installer" near
the Apple menu.
• Two spaces over you should see Utilities. Click Utilities>Reset Password.
• Select your user name from the drop down list and reset your password.
• When you are done, simply exit the Reset Password and Installer and reboot.
• At the Login window, enter your new password and you should be back into your home profile.

Let me know if this proves resourceful for you, Thanks!

Regards,

-Mactechtrainer

Try zapping the p-ram like this: power up, listen for chime, hold down control command P and R then wait for second chime. then release see if that fixes it.

Why does my MacBook Air keep telling me that my facebook account is locked?

This may have more to do with your Facebook account than with your MacBook itself. Try signing into Facebook from another computer using your user name and password. If your account is OK, change your password. Go back to your macBook and log in with your news password. I have the problem with my Ipad sometimes. Often Facebook will send you a message apologizing for problems logging in. Try logging in from that message.

How do i bypass macbook air master password without a disk

Maybe the owner's manual might make reference to some sort of reset option. If the password is a simple 4 digit code, then guess it. Most peoples' passwords have something to do with the person who set the password, I.e. a nickname, name of a family pet, anniversary date, etc.
