Hi,

Do you mean that your PD100 adapter doesn't recognize your new ipod touch?

If yes then i would suggest you to only use the adapter which has been given to you with the ipod touch.Do not use anyother one.If you don't have one it is better to buy another new adapter.

Goodluck

Zune vs iPod Touch, Which one is better?

Zune or iPod Touch? Which is better? Are you confused of choosing iPod Touch or Zune? Here we list several features by comparing Zune vs iPod Touch. Zune and iPod Touch has their own advantages and disadvantages respectively. Read on to know more.
Zune vs iPod Touch on Price
The two players only match up head-to-head in the 32GB size, where Apple's iPod sells for $299 and the Zune HD sells for $290, and almost-negligible price difference for most folks debating between the two. Apple's top-shelf 64GB player sells for $399, but Microsoft offers no comparable Zune HD in that capacity. Although Apple has the cheapest entry-level model, we have to hand the price war victory to Microsoft, which has managed to skim just enough off the price to make non-Apple-devotees look twice before leaping.
Winner: Microsoft Zune.
Zune vs iPod Touch on Display
The generous 3.5-inch screen on Apple's iPod Touch has long made it the de facto player of choice for on-the-go video, but Microsoft set out to challenge that lead with the Zune HD. Not by offering a bigger screen, but a better one. Although the Zune HD screen measures a slightly smaller 3.3 inches diagonally, it's uses cutting edge OLED technology, which delivers brightness and contrast unlike anything you can find in a LCD.
Winner: Microsoft Zune.
Zune vs iPod Touch on Battery Life
No matter how small or how capable, a personal media player does no good if you're constantly running back to the wall to charge it, making battery life one of the most important specs that you'll never truly appreciate until you take a device into the field. In this department, Apple didn't have it half bad to begin with, boasting 30 hours of music playback and six hours of video playback for the iPod Touch. But Microsoft has one upped Apple here as well, claiming the Zune HD will deliver 33 hours of music and 8.5 hours of video.
Winner: Microsoft Zune.
Zune vs iPod Touch on App Support
As iPod Touch owners can attest, the diversity of offerings in Apple's App Store makes the device as much a portable computer as it is a personal media player. You can create and edit calendars on it, surf the Web, and even find nearby places to eat with Google Maps and its built-in GPS.
If the App Store is leafy oak tree, full of 75,000 apps and counting, Microsoft's app offering is a seedling starving for water. At launch, Microsoft offers only six apps, including a few games and some basic utilities like a weather app and calculator.
Winner: Apple iPod Touch.
From comparison Zune vs iPod Touch, Apple's iPod Touch remains the reigning champion of the touch screen. For someone with no interesting in piddling around with apps, looking solely for the ultimate personal media player, the Zune HD truly makes a better buy.
As iPod touch user, I think you would be interested in following topics:
ipod to mac
transfer music from ipod to ipod
How to transfer Songs from iPod to iTunes
I have a CDE-9872 and it wont pick up my ipod touch

Add Alpine's optional "Full Speed" connection cable and you'll be able to use the CDE-9872 to control your iPod. -Crutchfields website

This is compatible with first and second generation iPods touch.
fyi- if you have a mini-stereo aux in jack on the deck you can connect a ipod touch compatible mini stereo cable to the earphone jack of your ipod.

Software upgrade 2.0 for ipod touch

Hey Dennis A,

According to information provided by the manufacturer, the "software upgrades" that are included with specific 16GB iPod Touch models are part of Apple's January software upgrade. The upgrade provides e-mail functionality, access to Google maps, weather forecasts, stock market tracking and a notepad program for the iPod Touch.

Apart from this slight change in pre-installed software, there should not be any other difference between the two 16GB iPod Touch models available through your local Best Buy™ store - they have identical hardware specifications.

Please keep in mind that a product's model number may change slightly whenever a minor cosmetic or major software update occurs. In this particular case, the model number MA627LL/A was superseded with model number MA627LL/B to reflect the changes in the factory-installed programs. Both models are considered to be the same generation of hardware.

If you would like more information about this software upgrade, I would strongly suggest checking out the following link:

http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2008/01/15touch.html

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerely,
Aaron

Nano VS. Mini

the "Clickwheel" (which places pressure sensitive navigation buttons underneath the scroll wheel) introduced with the iPod mini, but the similarities between the iPod mini and iPod nano end with the "Clickwheel". The iPod mini shipped in a colorful "ultra-portable (3.6 inch tall, 2.0 inch wide, 0.5 inch thick) lightweight anodized aluminum" case available in five stylish colors--silver, gold, pink, blue and green (four colors from February 23, 2005 to September 7, 2005 with gold no longer offered), each with a 1.67-inch "white backlit" monochrome LCD display. The iPod mini has either 4.0 GB or 6.0 GB hard drives to hold approximately 1,000 or 1,500 songs (encoded at 128-bit), respectively. The iPod nano, on the other hand, ships in a "impossibly small" 3.5 inch tall, 1.6 inch wide, and 0.27 inch thick "iBook white" or jet black and stainless steel case with a 1.5-inch "blue white backlit" 16-bit color LCD display. The iPod nano has either 2.0 GB or 4.0 GB of solid state Flash Memory and can hold approximately 500 or 1000 songs, respectively, in 128-Kbps AAC format and up to 25,000 "iPod nano-viewable" photographs
