Does it have a primer bulb? Does the primer bulb have a crack in it? If it does it won't do its job, needs to be replaced. Is the plug good? Does it have spark? How old is the gas? If it was in the tank for a long time, it may not be potent enough to fire. Plugs are inexpensive to replace, and can do wonders.
Hope this helps.

Mower doesnt seem to get gas

Sounds like a dry or stiff diaphragm. Any motor will start provided three things take place. Spark at the right time, compression and gasoline. Try this trick. Remove the air filter from the motor. Put on the choke. Being careful to stay away from the turning blades put your hand over the carb and see if it starts when you pull the cord. Did you see gasoline in the carb? If not then the tube carrying the gas up to the carb is probably disconnected. If it does start then try again to start it in the normal manner. If it does not start normally then you will need to replace the diaphragm. Make sure you have spark see if the motor seems to have poor compression. Poor compression will also cause the gas from not getting up to the carb. If it is new as you say take it back to the store

Not getting any spark

Clean the Plug and replace the Seafoam gas with fresh. Althiough the Seafoam is a cleaning agent, it cuts back on the gasolines octane and it can slightly foul plugs.

Troy bilt tuff cut 200. Will not started.. started fine the other day. pulling cord and will not turn over. already tried spraying starter fluid in carb... it is roughly a 2004

The first things you should check if your mower wont start is fuel, air and spark. Try pulling the cord a few times and then pull out the spark plug. If it looks wet then its getting fuel. Plug the spark plug into the wire while its outside the mower and hold it very close to a piece of metal attached to the engine without touching the metal (use insulated pliers). Have someone else pull the cord and see if you have sparks jumping between the plug and the engine. Also remove the air filter and clean it with gasoline if its made out of foam or buy a replacement if its made out of paper.

Let me know if none of these things work.

The lawnmower won t start after pulling the start up cord . changed the spark plug it still won t start

try a touch of starting fluid right into the carburator by taking the air filter off. If it then starts but wont run or stay running, the reservoir below the carb should be removed to clean at and the pinhole in the intake tube above the bowl nut. This is the most common problem with lawnmower start problems, the pinhole can be unplugged with one wire from a wire brush. Be careful with the gas, at least pinch off the gas hose with a vise grips while removing the carb bowl.. Never use a droplight around gasoline.

Plug cleaned plenty of fuel engine will not fire up

Dirty plugs will fire gasoline, very vague explanation but I will try it anyhow PAL. Does your clean plug have spark, start there. Is your tank free from water contamination, does it even try to start upon pulling cord. There are a few variables that need to be met to crank your small engine. Clean fuel and spark are the key elements to successful starting of all small engines. Rudimentary speaking of course, Good luck.

Lawn mower

Always start by checking the spark plug. If you are getting spark and still not starting, it's probably a carburator problem.
