Question about Zonet ZPS3611 Print Server
After a recent power outage, I lost connectivity to my printer. The printer itself is fine, I can print when connected directly to it, but I cannot print through the print server, which is connected to my wireless router.
I tried unplugging the print server and plugging it back in. I tried pressing the reset button on the surge protector. Nothing has worked yet.
The router also seems to be fine, as I have not lost my wireless internet connection.
I am using a WIN 7 PC.
Thanks for your help
If this is a printer WITHOUT WiFi or bluetooth - and you have it connected to another computer (Print Server) via a USB cable - you need to make sure you can see that computer from the other computer you are printing from. Use the network explorer - if you can see the computer and the printer you should be able to print to it.
Sometimes, it may be secured with a password. I found if I can map a shared drive from my laptop to my print server then I can print again. So see if you can see the printer and printer server computer from the other computer. If so you may need to add that printer again to you printer list.

When the printer errors out...stop, unplug the power to the printserver. Reset the printer, Clear the print que (delete jobs/restart print spooling service), restart the printserver software and plug the printserver power back in. Wait for the re-detect. Everthing should be good at this point. Unfortunatly the print job will be lost and you need to print again...BUT, NO REBOOT yea!!!
Note... for me, if this sequence is not followed, I will have to reboot. The printserver will be locked for the PC that was trying to print. All other PC's will be fine, and I have no idea why.

Here you have instructions about how to set a print server in the router ..and all conflicts that may appear ..Please read carefully cause some of teh steps are needed just in conflict conditions ...and you do not have to run them all ..
The actually first step is to access the server by its IP address and make teh settings for the printer ...after that you should install the printer driver in the computer ..and take the printer and faxes wizard to make the default printer settings ..(choose it from the list after it is correctly connected to the prin server and this one connected to the router )
To connect it to the router you should get into its setting and basically its the same as connecting a computer ..
