Question about Husqvarna 450 e-series 18" Chain Saw

Husqvarna 350- stopped while cutting

The saw was cutting properly and stopped as if the switch had been turned off. Checked sparkplug and had plenty of fire. Appears to be gas problem, possibly caused by ethenol in gas cleaning sludge from system. I need to remove carb and clean and possisbly replace fuel line. Is there any trick I should know about this.

Very straight forward to remove carb and take apart. replacing the fuel ines is a good idea. using compressed air is the best way to clean carby.

Can a Husqvarna 350 chainsaw be converted into a concrete cut off saw

I guess with proper fabrication, anything can be converted. The air filtration system on chainsaws is not as robust as with power cutters. I would suggest changing filter more often and adding a pre-filter.

Husquvarna 350 chainsaw won't stay running

There could be a couple of things wrong. Check fuel filter and fuel lines for integrity. Then check air filter. Replace sparkplug with proper resistor style plug. If the saw will still not run, check compression, should be between 120 - 145 lbs.
Still nothing, check to make sure ignition has good ground where it mounts on case.

Have 350 saw and the stop button does not switch of the saw Inow have to pull the choke out to stop the engine.can you advise please. Thanks John Mckenna

This is caused by either a faulty stop switch (check for continuity with a multimeter), one of the leads has become detached from the switch or is broken, or the lead from the switch to the chassis of the saw has gone open circuit. The stop button functions by shorting the output voltage of the magneto coil to ground.

i know you would like a simple solution. these saws are not simple. check gas for water, clean air filter, check exhaust. take carb off and clean all jets. spark, gas in, exhaust out. fuel line clear? i have seen these **** up so much dust it plugged the breather. hope this helped.

Husky 51. Saw gets great spark. seems to be getting plenty of gas too. Fires out of the hole but when i tighten down the sparkplug it wont fire

I have a husk 350, someone owed me money this is what i got. fired only with gas in the carb, would not run at all just start and off. would not fire at all without doing that. I took the carb apart 3 times no luck. Well I I said I am going to take this thing apart and see how its made and then toss it. As I was taking it apart I notices that the head bolts were little lose. I tightened them down put it back together, and that was the problem. Now it starts first lick. Sometimes the head bolts vibrate lose. have found this problem in weed eaters too.

I have a husqvarna 350 chainsaw, it wont cut straight throuh a log without cutting at an angle and getting jamed. what is the problem , any sharpening tips

THE ONLY THING THAT CAUSES A SAW TO CUT ON A CURVE IS THE CHAIN IS SHARPER ON ONE SIDE THEN THE OTHER AND IT PULLS THE SAW CHAIN TO ONE SIDE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM.
THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SAW, IF YOU USE A FILE TRY A FILE GUIDE THEY WORK GREAT

Husqvarna 350 screammmmms

H carburetor adjustment might be too lean--try turning CCW 1/8 Turn or so--engine should 4-stroke at speed with no load and immediately smooth-out with light load (cutting wood). Any vacuum leak would cause no/hard starting. It is normal for the engine to "scream" at speed--are the chain and bar being properly oiled? Use hearing protectors.

Saw will not cut , chain stops turning when chain touches wood

If your saw has a removable sprocket, Check the drive sprocket on the clutch drum. Either the the spline is worn or the drive link on the chain is not properly seated in the sprocket well.

Saw will not start Husqvarna 350

Hi

An engine needs three things to run(fuel and air mixed together in the correct proportions, compresion of the fuel/air mixture and ignition).Make carb adjustments, check the compression and the spark from the sparkplug.Priming the engine(put some gas into the sparkplug hole).Try to start the engine. If engine is running only the gas from the cilinder, the chain saw has a fuel delivery problem.Disassembly the carb and clean the inner parts.Check the fuel and air filters, fuel hose and gas tank ventil.

good luck!savumihai71
