Question about Briggs & Stratton Briggs Stratton 7 kW Auto Standby Generator
It just will not start. the starter motor works and turns over but generator will not fire.. and its not out of fuel
There are Three things a Motor needs to work, Fuel, Spark, Air. So you simply check each step, If you have Fuel, and you are sure it's getting to carburettor, then, First check, spark plug, (Replace is best), spark plug leads, and Ends. See if there is a "Spark" when the Motor is turned over. IF there is a good spark, OK, if NOT find out why, check, coil, check, points/Electronic ignition. Alternator. IF all good there, then Check, carburettor, Needle valve, Jet, float bowl, float and valve, check mixture.
