Question about Whirlpool GU2700XTSS / GU2700XTSY Built-in Dishwasher

1 Answer

The dishwasher makes a whining noise while washing; It started doing this a short time age. The dishwasher is about 1 1/2 years old. It almost sounds like there is something in the pump, , but I can't find a schematic.

The problem would be either something in sump area of the pump near the chopper or a bad main bearing in the motor. Since it is fairly new I would suspect something in the sump. I have put together some instructions on how to take this apart and clean. Let me know if this helps.

Dish water is not working. Water fills but no noice after that.

it's obviously sounds like your pump has gone, but considering the age of the machine, it would probably be best to get a new machine, that way you would have a 5 year warranty with it aswell so it's win/win really!

GE pdw9980lss dishwasher makes a horrible squealing noise when not in use.

The dishwasher control panel must be defective, nothing else would cause this.

Kenmore 587-1519 dishwasher 5 years old just started making a squealing noise during certain times on any wash cycle. Noise is coming from under the tub.

Sounds like something is stuck in the pump. Your pump propeller may be going out causing strain on the windings of the pump. If you have anymore questions please comment me back.

Dishwasher makes a whinning noise during the washing cycle. I have opened to check inside, and the dishwasher is ok for a few minutes, then it starts whinning again. The dishwasher is just over a year old,...

If wash quality is OK leave it. Pump will make whining noise due to its' ball/bush bearing problem.

Some times if the water inlet flow is not free in flow also results in noise.
Clean the inlet water filter and check the flow before re- connecting to the machine.

Dishwasher will not go into wash cycle.

On the LG LDF6810 dishwasher, the best you can do is remove the bottom spray arm and then the 10 phillips screws that hold the filter down.
Pull the filter out and clean it as best you can.
Inspect the sump area beneath where the filter was. Be careful of broken glass and remove all debris. Use a flashlight and look into every little spot down there. Reassemble the dishwasher and operate your DW.
If you still have problems, I recommend a service call. Check your manual to confirm but most LG dishwashers have a 1 year parts & labor plus a 2 year parts only. Have your proof of purchase ready.

How do you fix a noisy whirlpool dish washer DU1100XTP(Q) ?

A hard object has entered the wash module (on some models).
When the object is ground up, the sound should stop. If the
noise persists after a complete cycle, call for service.

Dishwasher Making Loud High Pitched Noise.

How deep do you want to get into this?It sounds like the wash pump motor bearings that are worn. You can pull the unit out flip it over and wd40 the bearings in the motor or you can replace the bearings.Try to lube them first.

Got much noisier over time

Hello Hunting2000 the noise could be several things. If you heard what is water hitting against the inner door, try aranging the dishes so that the water is hitting the dishes and not the door. I assume however this isn't the noise you are talking about. Sometimes over time the wash arms themselves will start to make noise. This is from wear. Yes less than a year sounds like a short time. This could have been there from the start. I would call Bosch Customer Support and see if they will pay for a 2nd opion. This well could be the wash arms causing this. Espically the top one not sealing proper and allowing water to hit the front. Hope this helps.
