My JVC cd player that I currently have installed in my truck will suddenly for no reason make a loud screeching sound that you can not get to stop. I have tried to take the face plate of to clean it but it seems to be stuck on. When you press the button to take the face plate of it will release from one side but not from the other.

Re: cd player broken
Unplug the radio from its harness for about a minute then plug it back in try the radio again if you still get that squeal-it is possible that either one of your speakers is shorted or your wiring has a problem- cleaning will not help this problem!

Some of JVC higher end models have a feature called BBE. The BBE button
has replaced the loud feature on these models, so there is no Loud
button on them. Some of these display panels still might show the Loud
indication due to the display boards used.
I suggest check ypour User Guide for additional details. Good luck.
The harness looks like what is depicted on this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/JVC--16-PIN-WIRE-HARNESS-FOR-CD-PLAYER-BLACK-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ370214069143QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090612?IMSfp=TL090612198008r8862 This
connector fits the following JVC Car Radio/CD/MP3 Players with
16 pin connection.
All wires are labeled. Hope this helps....................sodeep
It wasn't a car cd player, but a component for a stereo. I took off the case and shook the player until the disc dropped out. We plan to replace the player, so no further help is needed. Thank you for getting back to me so quickly.
You should test all of the speaker wires by putting the negatieve wire (the ones with the stripes) to the negative end of a AA battery and the positive wire to the positive end. You will hear a light, high pitched noise if the speakers are working correctly.
