Inside loading space remove internal trim and expose light cluster, remove thunb screw and pull out light unit replace appropriate bulb , reverse to rebuild.

Hi,what about brake switch,try undoing the connectors frome the brake switch and make a connection with a peice of wire to see if the brake lights come on,all the best hope this was some help.

97 BMW 528i brake lights out tried changing the bulbs as well as checked the fuse what could the problem be


check the brake light switch located on the brake peddle for power in and power out

It's bad brake light switch mounted just above brake pedal on brake pedal shaft. Common problem w/BMW. They're cheap & easy to replace.
