To disable the parental control you will have to reset the router.
Press and hold (for 15 seconds) the reset button (use a pen or paperclip) on the back of the router.
You will have to reinstall the Cisco-Connect software next.
Then do a normal set-up.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

I want to impliment parental control exception for some some pc in our network

On the router you can block websites for all not just for one , you can block his mac address off the router but then he cannot access the network,
I suggest a antivirus/internet security which is installed on his pc to set parental control , i have seen this been done & implemented my self , its already pre-configured no extra settings needed.

You apply parental controls trough the browser , but it is easily bypassed by a literate it knowladge ,

on the machine you want to set the parental controls
- open "internet explorer" - click "tools" - click "internet properties" on the dropdown menu - click The "Content" tab - click "Parental Controls" - follow the wizard

* if you dont see tools option when You open the browser Press "alt" key , Make sure you have adminitrator privelages when setting this.

Thanx

I want block 2 site so plz send mail.

You need to access the Setup page of Dlink DIR 300 wireless router:
1. Use a working computer that is hard wired to the router.
2. Open a Web Browser (IE, Firefox etc.) on the computer.
3. In the address bar of the browser type http://192.168.0.1 and press Enter.
4. When the login window appears, set the user name to admin and leave the password box empty. Click OK to continue.
(Note: If you setup your own Usename and Password on your router please use those info to login instead of using the default)
You will then see the Setup page of the router.
5. CLick on the ADVANCED tab.
6. On the left side of the screen Click on Parental Control.
7. On the "Configure Parental Control below: " select the option "Turn Parental Control ON and DENY computers access to ONLY these sites".
8. ON the "Website URL" tyoe in the website that you want to block
9. Click on the Save settings button.

Once completed then the sites you entered are completely denied and blocked on your router.

Can't Connect more then 2 devices, on my Linksys Wireless Broadband N router. Called Linksys tech support not helpful, the other devices are coming up with Parental Controls.

Can you explain about your network diagram, what type of connectivity you looking????

or you can connect your devices as per below:

1. ISP cable -> Router1's Broadband port
2. Router1's LAN1 -> Router2's Broadband port
3. Router1's LAN2 -> Router3's Broadband port

Sounds like someone has you blocked from torrent sites. Either your parents or your ISP. If its your parents, you can get around it.

First try using a new browser.

Goto firefox.com.

Download and install the Free Firefox browser. When installing it, do not import you IE settings.

Try accessing the torrent sites. If you are still being blocked, you can reset the router. Use a paper clip, and hold it in the tiny hole on the back side of the router for a few seconds, the lights on the front should flash, and the router should go back to its default settings.

Note: this will remove any wireless security features that were previosuly on the router as well.

WiFi unable to connect/maintain connection

Hello b... couple things.

First; see if going into Control PanelNetwork Connections and disabling the wireless network connection, then enabling it again fixes it. If it does then you have a work-around...

Second; there was a Realtek driver update offered by Windows Update. If that has
been installed (Control Panel-Programs and Features-View Installed Updates)
roll it back to the previous driver through Device manager and get the
update direct from either Toshiba or Realtek.

See if that helps.

This seems to be happening with that Wireless card and Vista... let me know what happens please.

Actiontec GT701WG ROUTER

If you cannot connect to the router through 192.168.0.1, do a harware reset - I think there is a button in bach and use the factory default user/password. Then just disable the wireless in setup, advanced, wirless settigs - click Wireless Off radio button. And change the password.

Network parental control

If you want dynamic monitoring/filtering of the web traffic you might need to install software on all the PC's! When it comes to the Playstation 3, there should be settings on there that you can set! Check out this page : http://www.gamerdad.com/detail.cfm?itemID=3558 When it comes to the dynamic filtering of sites, the most highly rated Parental Control Software is Content Protect(Now NetNanny)! http://www.netnanny.com/ By dynamic filtering, it means the the parental control mechanism, automatically blocks sites due to content(it updates over the internet!) The router can only do so much! :( hope this was helpful, regards, babb
