Printing multipage document 2 pages wide and double...

By M0nica L - usenet poster

I've been printing a 12 page (8.5" x 11") newsletter on single sheets and
having them printed at a copy center on 11" x 17" paper, 2 pages wide and
double sided.  I purchased an HP8500 Color Laser printer and want to print in
the same configuaration.  How do I convert my current documents and what is
the easiest way to maintain page order?  Biggest hurdle, page 1 is the
outside front and page 12 is the outside back, making page 12 the left side
and page 1 the right side.  Hope I'm making myself clear.
Thanks,
Jay Hidden

Setup your printer to 11 x 17, landscape. Start a new publication, choose booklet,
(in Publisher 2000, special fold) landscape 11 x 17. Publisher will ask about adding
pages, click yes. Insert 8 more pages... Open a new instance of Publisher, open your
newsletter, select everything on each page, copy and paste into your new publication.

Publisher automatically presents the pages in the correct order.

I'm having problems with my Okidata C5150n printing two sides. I don't have
the duplexer for automatic two side printing, but I should still be able to
print my Publisher booklet two sided manually. For some reason after
installing the Oki driver, I have few choices for printing. I love the
quality of the print and don't know if I should return the printer, get a
different publishing program, look for other drivers or what. Please help.

The only option you would need to print a Publisher document is print!

You can specify print current page, click no to the pop-up, turn the page over, go to
page two, print current page, click no. It is easier to print if you have a
multi-page (more than four) publication to view a one page spread.
