I am guessing you are using IE (Internet Explorer) and have no proxy software installed. I am also assuming that no web pages will load compared to only 1 page not loading.

Open up "Internet Options" in IE and select the "Connections" tab. Go down to where it says "Lan Settings" and click the button to open the options for it.

Near the bottom you will see an option for "Proxy Server", uncheck it. Shut down IE and restart it, the setting change should have taken effect.

If you are just looking to restore your PC, insert the disk and reboot the computer. A screen should open that will guide you through the rest of the reinstall.

If the above does not start the reinstall, then put the disk into the drive and go to "My Computer" and double click on your CD/DVD drive icon to see the files on the cd. Find the exe file that gets the process going (should be easy to find by its name) and follow the prompts.

How can proxy server bolked ?

A proxy server is a computer used to act as the one contact point between your computer and the open Internet. The primary benefit of a proxy server as that it can cache (store) Internet web pages and other content on its disc drives. When a user connected to the proxy server requests a web page or content that was previously accessed by another user, the proxy server can deliver that content/page from its cache to the new user without having to go out to the Internet.

Network administrators can configure a proxy server to prevent users from reaching dangerous or unauthorized web sites. So if your computer is connecting to the Internet through a proxy server, you will be using whatever restrictions the network administrators have set up. If you are not using only your home network, you are most likely NOT using a proxy server. If you are using a school, university, organization or corporate network, then you are most likely USING a proxy server to connect.

Why cant laptop connect to proxy?

You need to tell it, it is a proxy.

In internet explorer pick tools, internet options, then pick connections, then LAN settings. There you will find the setup to access the internet via a proxy.

I just cant get on any page on the internet it just says server not found

There are many reasons for this. There may be parental controls active on the system, or your computer may be struggling to connect to the internet. Check your Internet Explorer settings. Click Tools on the right hand corner, select Internet Options, click on the Connections tab. At the bottom of the connections tab it should say LAN Settings. Select LAN Settings and there should be three boxes with a check option. The last one should say something along the lines of "use a proxy server". If it is checked, uncheck it. I experienced something similar to what you were experiencing. It turns out that a computer virus disguised as an Antivirus software called Antivir Pro Solutions or some variation of that, prevented my computer from accessing any websites, and eventually prevented me from opening programs. That particular virus was able to change the proxy server settings to its very own proxy server, and once I got rid of the virus using a program called Malwarebytes (awesome& very reliable program btw), the Internet Explorer settings remained on a proxy server. All I did was unchecked it and the internet returned. If you have a legitimate Antivirus software such as Mcafee or Norton by Symantec, I suggest you run a scan before anything. Some security features such as CA Security are good for somethings, but not for others. I had CA Security when I caught the virus. If you have CA, I suggest you download Malwarebytes as a secondary precaution. Anyways, I hope it's not a virus. Good Luck!

Cant sign in in yahoo messenger at mozilla fire fox

Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."

Enable the "Firewall with no proxies" option.

Select the correct Internet connection type and country from the pull-down menus.

Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.

Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button.

Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.

The above configuration works in most situations. (However, if you connect in this way, you won't be able to use the Voice feature.) If this configuration doesn't work, follow these steps:

Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."

Enable the "No network detection" option and then click the OK button at the bottom of the window.

Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in again with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button.

Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.
After this steps and this still not solve it. You can check and set your I.S.P and Proxy Server. here are the steps. If neither of the above options work (sorry), you're probably behind a firewall or proxy server that requires you to enter its address. Follow these steps:Click the Messenger menu in Yahoo! Messenger and select "Connection Preferences."

Enable the "Use proxies" option.

Enter your firewall or proxy server's address and port number. Contact your network administrator (if you're at work), or your Internet service provider (if you're at home) to determine the correct firewall and proxy settings.

Click the OK button at the bottom of the window.

Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in with your new proxy settings. Click the OK button.

Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.

If you try all of the steps above and Yahoo! Messenger still can't connect, contact your network administrator, Internet Service Provider (ISP), or the person who initially set up your computer to ensure that your firewall and/or proxy settings are correct
