Question about Computers & Internet

I have one of your 4 GB memory cards that I would like to use to replace a 1 GB card in a Casio digital camera. Do I need to format it first or what do you recommend? If I need to format it, how do I do this? Bob

The model is an EX-Z750. It came with a 1 GB card, even though I paid $35.00 extra when I ordered it two years ago online from a camera shop in NY. They did not send the 2 GB card and I never discovered it until about two years after I ordered it when the space on the 1 Gb card finally ran out on a trip where I did not have a computer to download from the 1 GB card. Most of the time the 1 GB card is enough. I recently found a bargain on a 4 GB card and though I would try it, but I could not get the Casio to accept it.

Hi Bob.

To start, not all digital cameras support the 4GB card. If the Casio mounted 1GB memory card as factory standard, then it is possible that the maximum size supported is 2GB.

If the camera accepts the 4GB, it should read the pre-formatted card. If it does not, the card can usually be formatted from the camera menu.

Let me know model of your camera, so that I can tell you if 4GB card is supported or not.

Thanks.

What size memory card does the kodak easyshare cx6200 take?

The internal memory for this camera is 8 MB.

The manual indicates using memory cards of size 8 to 128 MB, so this is an early SD memory camera, following the original SD standard. Do not try SDHC or SDXC cards. The camera will support a 1 GB card. It *might* support a 2 or 4 GB card, but since this is a 2 Mpixel camera, a 512 MB or 1 GB card will allow you to save thousands of jpeg format pictures.

Put a new 4gig card in as I lost the old 1

I verified that I cannot format my 4 GB cards in the Coolpix 5700. This camera simply cannot use large memory cards. You should get a 1 GB card for this camera (I verified that 1 GB cards do work).

After I take a photo my camera says it's "busy, please wait" for about 10 seconds. I bought and formatted a new SD 4 GB card and it stopped doing that, so I thought it was good. After about a week, it...

I was having the same problem and contacted Casio. The issue seems to be that there are pictures/video on your internal camera memory which is conflicting with the memory card. Here is the fix:
Turn of the camera and take out your memory card Turn on the camera, click menu, setup, hit the up circle twice and click reset and click reset again until the camera resets
Then click menu again, setup, hit the up circle twice and click format, click format again until the camera formats
(This will delete the pictures from your memory card so make sure you have them saved) Turn off the camera and put your memory card back in, turn the camera on again. Repeat the format process for your memory card and you will be good to go!

A 2gb memory card says memory full tried it in

No, that camera works with the 2gb cards just fine. You will want to try to format the card in your computer first, then try it in your camera (format it in the camera before using). If it doesn't format in the computer, it is a bad card.

Kodak c310 camera won't format new SD 2GB card old card same size

Older C310s won't take that large a card. Try to exchange it for a 1 GB or smaller. I had the same problem - a PNY 1 GB works fine

Camera Memory Card Capacity

Hi there, and welcome to FixYa.

First, make sure your cards are either, SD or MMC. Any other type won't work.
If they are SD and/or MMC cards, then the reason the cards aren't working is because they have to be formatted in the camera BEFORE you use them. Use the camera to format the cards, don't use your pc or a card reader.
The manufacturer says to use a 2gb card, but that doesn't mean you can't try a higher one. The only thing is that maybe it won't format the card right. Or, it may slow down the processing speed. It won't hurt the camera any.
Have fun with your camera. If you have any further questions, leave me a comment, and don't forget to rate my solution.

My Kodak EasyShare C315 needs formatting.

For all the camera users whose cameras won't format...they can't accept all the info on a 2 gb memory card... install a 1 gb card...worked like a charm for me! C315 and others were made before the 2 gb card. Only 1 gb cards work in the older cameras.

Problem moving photos from my Casio digital to PC

Make sure you've formatted the new memory card in the camera. You can find the format function when the camera is in Set Up mode.
If that doesn't work, I suspect the camera only supports cards with a maximum size of 2GB. A camera of this age is likely to only support the FAT16 file system which has a 2GB limit. You may be able to format the 8GB card, but the camera might only "see" 2GB of it.

Storrage on camera

First off did you format ur memory card? Casio only has 3 brands of memory cards they have tested their cameras with....Sandisc, Toshiba, and Panasonic. The exz600 can take up to a 2 GB card from those manufacturers with no problem. I would make sure that your mem card is formatted. If it is, try a different card. If you don't care about the pics that are stored on your internal mem then you can format your camera, put in a new mem card and then format that. You always have the option of transfering the pics to ur computer first before formatting. After formatting make sure you reset your camera also. Format: in REC mode press menu go to setup tab go up to format press right arrow make sure format highlighted and press set Camera will say "busy please wait" Reset: In REC mode press menu go to setup tab go up to reset press right arrow make sure reset is highlighted & press set.

Does not read memory card

Casio only tested 3 cards with the camera. Sandisc, Toshiba, Panasonic. First: Format the internal memory of camera and then reset camera. In rec mode press menu go to setup tab go up to format press right arrow highlight format press set. Follow same steps for resetting. Then insert mem card and format mem card. If that still doesn't work I would say there is something wrong with the camera itself and would need to be sent in.
