My volume meter disappeared. I went to control

My volume meter disappeared. I went to control panel on sound settings and unchecked, then rechecked the display volume icon, and now I have a different volume icon that only shows mute or on. The volume meter does not display.

The sound icon on my HP laptop disappeared

If the sound is muted go into the Volume control and uncheck the Mute box.
If this does not work then reinstall the audio driver.
You can download the audio and device drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the Windows drivers you require and install them. Click on this link to download the drivers: -

Open the TASK MANAGER, open the PROCESSES tab, highlight "explorer.exe", click on "end process", Open "file", "New Task", Type "explorer" without quotation marks. OR Control Panel, Sound, depending on your OS, You will find a box to show tray icon. If it is checked, uncheck, apply, then check, apply. The Task Manager will remove stored icons that fill the program, and restart the icons.

Does anyone know how to add the pc beep slider back to the master volume properties? it's disappeared as an option.

1.Go to control panel>sound and audio devices>on the tab of device volume , click advanced. You will see sliders (master volume window), go to options>properties>tick the "PC Beep" to make it appears in volume control. Now just unmute it

2.If this doesnot work,try this
Control Panel. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Properties, then the Sounds tab.
Changing the Sound scheme to Windows Default should get it back to normal. If it’s already on Windows Default, you can try setting it to No Sounds, click Apply, then set it back to Windows Default and Apply again.
If that fails, I think you’d have to reinstall the sound drivers.

On the lower right corner of my screen usually next to my battery meter and clock used to be my volume control. but now its gone and i dont know how to get it back, can anyone help?

Hello,

Go to start, up to control panel. Look for sound and multimedia icon or sound and audio devices icon ( depends of windows version) Click on it. A new box will open on your screen, on the volume tab is a check box for "Place volume control on taskbar" be sure it is checked. Exit the screen and your volume control should be back.

Hp zv5346us audio problem

Try to look for the sound icon in your task bar. select properties then try to check options then select all settings that are supposedly running in your system uncheck those settings that are set to mute then adjust the volume lever to higher level.ex. Right Click sound icon,-open volume control, When volume controls appear click on the properties,-then select all settings that you might be using then close the volume control panel. then try to run again. if possible it needs restart to take effect the new settings.

I need your help now there is no volume on my computer

Try looking at Start>Control Panel (Win XP) and the double-click on Sounds. Check the settings to see if they have been muted. If it is checked then uncheck the box and you should have sound. If unchecked then the volume may simply be all the way down. If neither of those then you may have a device problem. To check in XP goto Start>Control Panel. Double-click on System and then click on the Hardware tab. Click Device Manager and see if you have a question mark by Sound Category. If you do try removing by right-clicking and choose remove. Reboot your computer after this to see if your computer will reinstall the sound card.

it says to replace the control box for no sound.
thats the main board to you.
I would use external speakers as they sound better anyway.
