Question about Dell Inspiron 9200 Notebook
My volume meter disappeared. I went to control panel on sound settings and unchecked, then rechecked the display volume icon, and now I have a different volume icon that only shows mute or on. The volume meter does not display.
Follow this path:
Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> Entertainment >> Volume Control
See if you get the Volume control or not. If you are able to get the Sound properly then you can create a Shortcut of Volume Control from the same path whihc i given...

When missing the volume meter indicator. this is what I done. Clicked start, search, then clicked all files and folders. Typed in quickset, then opened the document that was found which was quickset. when the quickset box opened, I clicked on power management settings and followed the steps. and the volume indicator was back up.
