Check the high-limit and or cycling switches/thermostats as if they read an over temp from being faulty they will shut the gas off, they are both on the burner tube assembly

I have a model LGA30AL gas dryer. It will start up occasionally but will only stay lit for a short time. I have already replaced the Igniter. And found a small leak in gas line. I replaced that also. What...

The gas assembly consists of: The ignitor, the flame sensor, and the solenoid coils. The ignitor and flame sensor are either going to be good or bad no in between. The only thin in there that can get intermittent is them solenoids. They get hot and quit but after a long while they cool back down and work another time. themobilian_2450.jpg

My gas dryer will not get warm

Can you hear the flame come on at all? If you can hear the flame come on in the beginning but then as time goes on it doesn't, you need to replace both coils (solenoids) on the gas valve.

Take the front panel off and watch the operation of the dryer. You should see the glow from the ignitor come on and get very hot, then hear the click of the coil releasing the gas, which will allow the flame to ignite. If you see the flame come on, stay there and keep an eye on the time.

After about 5 minutes if the coils click but the flame doesn't come on, you've just proved you need the coils.

If you have a meter you can check for continuity or ohm out the ignitor to see if that is your culprit. A less likely repair would be to replace the flame sensor.

Dryer not drying

First thing to check is the vent. Make sure you have sufficient air flow to the outside. If you are not sure if you have the proper rate of flow, disconnect the vent from the dryer, turn dryer on and see if burner stays on longer. Do this with a couple of damp, spun-dry towels inside the drum. If the burner short cycles again, you need to replace the coils on top of the burner assembly. These are the two black round coils.

Dryer Model DE306 has stopped heating

First thing to check is the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it) It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off. If the ignitor does not glow then it or the thermostat is bad. If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the flame sensor may have to be replaced. If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Gas Dryer model 110-77974110

the coils on your gas valve are going out , this is why it will work at first and stop , the coils heat up and wont open the valve again after they are heated.
I thought they were some what cheaper than they are now but still not too bad. you can try this part number search on ebay for the best price I can find.

I have a AMANA gas dryer model LGA80AW and it is not heating. I took the front panel off cleaned the lint from within the cabinet and exhaust pipe. What I've noticed is that the starter comes on and lights...

When you say "starter" I assume you are talking about the "ignitor" and it is glowing. If the ignitor stays glowing continuously then the radiant heat sensor, normally closed, is not opening OR if the ignitor lights up than turns off after about 10 seconds but no flame, then the coils (doesn't matter which one of the two) are bad. The coils are located on top of the gas valve and the radiant sensor is located on the side of the burner chute....Good Luck

No heat-gas dryer--Amana

There is a flame sensor on the side of the flame housing. Jump the 2 wires out and see if the ignitor glows then. If so you need a flame sensor.
