They are right, it should have a reset option. You might want to check that the volume button in the set is not stuck in anyway. shy of that, turn the speakers off in the audio options in the set and use external speakers.

When I use the buttons for volume on the actual TV I hit up volume and it goes down I hit it again several times and the volume goes up and down randomly. I have a LG 47LD500

Hi Erich,
This is the sad story of almost all the brands now days. Under the buttons you press there are micro switches which actually take your command and send it to the microprocessor. I do not know why the companies put poor quality of micro switches which go bad very fast and start behaving erratically. If you can not manage with the remote control, have the micro switches replaced. They are very cheap, but you may have to pay good amount as repairs charge.

Volume is at MAX every time i start my Samsung TV LCD LA37A550P1R

Check your manual for resetting the TV to 'Factory Default'. I have heard of this happening before. It may need you to press a combination of buttons on your remote. Usually you have to be pressing the buttons in sequence with the TV in standby, then wait for a service menu to appear. Look through this menu for the words 'Factory Reset'. It may be in a sub menu. The TV may well switch itself back off and then on again. At which point your problem should have gone away.

The volume on my plasma tv goes up to 100 and when i lower the volume it will take a second volume for the volume to go up to 100 how can i fix my tv to lower the

The tact switch is most likely defective which is keeping the volume up engaged. Replace the tact switch should fix the issue. If not the button assembly pcb will need replacement. You can get replacement boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com

The sound/volume turned to mute automatically?

Assuming that you are using one, take the batteries out of the remote, then turn the sound up with the switches on the monitor. Tactile switches somethings get stuck. The mute switch could be one of them. If it is the one on the screen, check the "feel" of the mute button compared to the others. Damaged ones usually feel "flat".

Toshiba (Model : 36A43) - volume goes down automatically

I am having same problem on 32 inch same problem. After playing with board with no results,I tried front buttons and found that if I held the power button in ever so slighItly as not to turn it off, it fixed problem which is the micro on/off switch, I removed the switch and used the remote and everything is back to normal, I am about to insall a used micro switch after I finish typing this but I am sure this will clear up volume problen and menu going crazy problem if not I will just leave micro switch out and use the remote, and I will get back to this board only if that micro switch still causes the problem, so if I don't post in next hour the problem is fixed and I'm more than glad to help.

Volume automatically goes to maximum

This sounds like there is a stuck button. With the TV off, try each of the panel buttons. You should feel the button engage. If not, that is the faulty one that should be replaced. Also, check to be sure that the plastic covering that extends to the actual switch inside the set is not broken causing a switch to be stuck on.
Keep us posted.
