Hi
Hi
Please check the bellow link to have a an idea regarding to your problem...
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-vista/Troubleshoot-network-connection-problems
However c
heck if your printer is network ready. Add network support to your printer. If your printer is not already wireless you can connect it to a wireless router using the RJ-45 Jack (it resembles a large telephone jack). You can also buy an expansion card that will add a jack or buy an external print server that will connect to the USB or parallel port.
Connect your printer to the network. If your printer is not wired, you'll have to connect it directly to your wireless router. Connect a networking cable from the RJ-45 Jack on the printer (or adapter) to the router. Plug it into any jack except the UPLINK. The printer should automatically connect to the network when turned on.
Install printer drivers on all computers. Using the disc that came with the printer or drivers downloaded from the manufacturer, install the printer's drivers onto each computer on the network.
You should be able to access the printer just like any other wireless device. Select the printer from the Print menu when you print.
Share Your Printer in Windows
Install the printer. Set up the printer as normal on a machine that is already connected to the wireless network. Connect all necessary cables and install all necessary drivers.
Open the printers and faxes folder. Click "Start," then "Control Panel," then "Printers and Other Hardware" and then "Printers and Faxes."
Share your printer. Find the icon for the printer you just installed. Click the icon once and then select SHARE THIS PRINTER in the tasks pane on the left. Now, right click the icon, select properties and go to the SHARING tab. Click "Share Name," and then click "Okay."
Connect to the printer. On the other computers within the network, open the control panel and click "Printers and Other Hardware." Select "Add a Printer."
Select "Printer Connection." When prompted, select this option instead of the local printer. Find and select the printer you just installed and select it.
Print as normal. Next time you print a page, send it to your networked printer.

Need to add a MAC address to my router

The MAC address is the non copyable address which is set at manufacture in all PC and wireless systems. You need to add your Roku to your network by telling the network to scan for the Roku or telling the Roku to scan for the network, either way, your PC should ask you if you wish to add the found devices to the network and you need to answer yes and then input the PIN number you gave your wirless system when you set it all up. If you are not using at least WPA security then you need to as an unsecured wireless network is an open invitation to someone stealing your identity and your online limits, like your download limit.. Tell the Roku to scan for active networks, when it finds yours, it should try and connect and this should trigger a message from your PC asking you if you wish to allow the connection. After you have entered yes, you will need to use the network password which you set at in itial network setup. You can also ask your PC to scan for devices and then follow the same procedure as above..Networks are set up and adjusted through the network wizards in Control Panel..

Can't connect to netwoork

Just configure the wireless settings your laptop. Go to Network Connections > Right-click on Wireless Network > Properties. Go to Wireless Network tab and look for Preferred Networks. Just remove all of them and click OK.

Now, On the Network Connections, right-click on Wireless Network Connection > View Available Wireless Networks. Connect to your own wireless network and enter your wireless network key if it tells you to type it. That should fix your wireless connection. Now if your wireless network is not showing, you need to change the wireless channel of your router by accessing the router's setup page using your wired computer.

hi..
so you are not able to see the networks at all,1st make sure that we are detecting the wireless network and that the drivers are installed in the computer
follow these steps..
click on start, control panel, network and internet connection and then network connection.
2)under network connection you will see a conneciton that says wireless network connection.
3)right click and click on view wireless networks, once you are in this box if it says windows cannot configure then perform step number 5 and if you can see the network perform steps no 4.
4)you will probably see the network of you school, click on the netwokr name and you will see a tab that says connect, click on connect and if the network in your school is secured then it will tell you to put in the password which you can get by speaking with the network administrator..once connected it will tell you that you are connected and then try going online..
5)if no networks are detected and says windows cannot configure, click on start, all progams, dell wireless and then click on dell wireless wlan card utility,
6)In this card utility you will see a that says general and under that tab you will see a box which will shows you the available networks then click on the network and then either you will have a connected button or cofigure button now depending upon the network it will either tell you to put the password or the network key once you do that the wireless should get connected and you should be able to go online now...
hope this steps will resolve the issue...Best of luck...
let me know incase if you see a different screen..

Cant connect 2 laptops through linsky wrt54g is this possible

are you connecting the laptop hard wired or wirelessly?

for wired connection, just plug the ethernet cable from the router to the laptop and it should work fine.

for the wireless connection, check on the wireless network connection. for xp, click on start> control panel> network connections> right click wireless network connection> then click on view available wireless network> then select your network.. for secure wireless connection, type the security key then click connect. :-)

Wireless internet

1. Go into the Network Connections (Start->Control Panel, Network Connections)
2. Locate your Wireless Adapter and make a RIGHT click on the icon.
3. Click on "View Wireless Networks"

If that does not work, it may mean that your wireless adapter is using a customized software to manage wireless networks. This is the case for my Intel Wireless adapter. In this case, look in Start->All programs for a program from your wireless adapter or laptop manufacturer (if the card is embeded). If you tell me the exact name of your wireless adapter, I should be able to help you a little further.
