My entire internet is loading too slow, if at all.

It started with Yahoo Mail. I was told my messages couldn't be downloaded. So I went on to other sites and all was well, so I decided to go back to Yahoo Mail, and it said the same thing, so I went back to the internet and it did the same thing. It would eventually come up, but it would take over 5 minutes for anything to load, and to change page while on a site. I did 2 system restores to when I knew I was not having the trouble, and I still had it. I am computer illiterate, so I need help in language I can understand.
Yahoo Messenger still works like it always did, but nothing else.I pray someone can help me.

    Hello, Not sure if it will help for you, but it did on my computer. Try to do as next: 1. Find the process that is causing trouble. 2. Find the location of the problem process on the computer. 3. Put the problem process in quarantine. 4. Do a system restore to an earlier date. >1. First try to get an overview of the running tasks to see the CPU load for the computer when NOT having opened Internet Explorer. When having Yahoo software installed and mostly after trying to uninstall, the computer will slow down when opening Internet Explorer. Yahoo adds, will startup over and over again, as Internet Explorer is opened. In Windows, open the taskmanager: right click the bar below and select Taskmanager. You should be able to see the running processes and CPU load. Click on CPU (maybe twice) to see highest CPU load for the Process Name in top. Now with the taskmanager on top of all screens open Internet Explorer again. Look what process is taking the largest capacity of CPU load ( another proces than iexplore.exe for the Internet Explorer, of course ) Trying to shut down the Yahoo add task will not help: mostly the same job or even multiple tasks will be started. >2. Try to locate the Yahoo add file on the computer - it could have any name - that takes over too many CPU capacity, when opening Internet Explorer. >3.Use your antivirus program to put the file in quarantine. >4. Next try a system restore to an earlier date again. Now try to open Internet Explorer again and check the Taskmanager for CPU load.

scan your computer with good anti virus and uninstall any unnecessary software and try also download ccleaner and use this in future will help you

I have yahoo mail but don't have yahoo messenger on my work computer i can chat and text message through yahoo mail one day and cant the next why? and can you help me please thanks PS it says its loading...


Check your Status there if it is busy then this will happens set your status to available and one more thing check your internet connection speed if it is slow then change your internet plan !

Looks like you have no/slow internet connection. Check your internet connection first and then use faster browser like mozilla firefox and then go to yahoo mail classic. Hope this helps.

Your internet connection is most likely too slow for the new Yahoo mail version. Try reverting back to the Yahoo mail classic as that requires less bandwidth, or see about getting a faster internet connection.

Who is your ISP, contact them and report slow pages loading. Have you tried this on another computer on a differnt network? Slow pages loading is the result of either a slow internet connection or a busy network. Time of day also affect the quality of your connection to a free service.

Yahoo Mail has 2 modes: 1.Classic mode and 2.Standard mode I guess you're in standard mode,I suggest you switch to classic mode, I hope it could help you

Have either of you tried a DIFFERENT computer. Since most likely it's your computer and not Yahoo.

Or install firefox or chrome and try with a different browser.

I had the same problem, but what I did was so helpful. I changed my mail to "Mail Classic" and I have no problem. I hope it works for you, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
