My Matsui 2gb Mp3 player and Recorder(120mr)

I bought a Matsui Mp3 player 2 weeks ago and now it stopped functioning.I only use it as a pen drive. When I insert a battery,it only flashes the name MATSUI and goes off.It keeps on blinking like that.Somebody said the software was deleted. What should I do enjoy music again?

Hi i purchased a transcend pen drive one month back but i unpacked it 2 weeks ago only and i used it hardly 4 to 5 times and now its not working.its a 4gb pendrive

Hi,
try it on different computers. If it doesn't work in any of them, you can exert your right of warranty and have it fixed (unless you bought it already used, in that case you need to ask to whoever sold it to you).
Hope it helped,
Franz

1. Download this tool:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4040651/LLFTOOL.EXE

2. Format

(WARNING: After running this low level format tool,
the whole USB flash disk surface will be fully erased.
Therefore, data restoration will be impossible after using this utility!)

Matsui MAT 140 MR mp3 player

If your Matsui is working suggest you leave well alone -- I've been looking for utilities (new firmware, reflash utility and firmware extractor) and it's all very confusing.

Apart from the ghastly menu system the only problem I've had with mine £8 ($16 used from a flea market) is that Win XP's data write-behind feature means that XP merrily suggests that file transfers are complete when the player is still digesting the files. If you interrupt this by mistake XP stops responding or complains that data has been lost.

Format your Mp3 device by the right click option and select format and now move new audio files and try to play the songs. it will work.

Do NOT format it -- I did a complete format as another user suggested and now it only appears to be useful as a pen drive. It will not play anything and I've tried reinstalling the firmware and it doesn't even recognize that it's an mp3 player so I can't install it!
