Question about Samsung CLP 315 Laser Printer

I have a problem with the clp-315. The red light

I have a problem with the clp-315. The red light stays and the print jobs will not print to the printer. The error message displays. Do anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks for your help.

    This did not fix my problem. Thanks anyway for your fast response. I think I have determined what the problem is. The imaging unit needs to be replaced.

Hi there
You can try see if this may do it.

Go to Start / Run and type in "services.msc" without quotation marks, then press Enter or click OK.

In the window that opens (Services) look for "Print Spooler" on the right

Right-click "Print Spooler" and select "Properties".

Click on the "Recovery" tab and change all 3 drop-down boxes to "Restart The Service".

Make sure the 2 text boxes underneath say "1" in them.

Click Ok until you are back at the Services window, close it and you're good to go.

Go back into the properties of the "Print Spooler" tab and be sure to click Start to restart the Print Spooler service and it will restart the service immediately.

The Print spooler depends on the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service. Is this service disabled? Go to services.msc look for RPC. Check state: Automatic

Red light is on. It is not blinking, it is solid on. no paper jam, all doors are closed. I took the cartridges out went back and force with them, and put them back. Help !, the warrenty just expired last...


if there is no paper in the printer the red light will stay until you put some on it, make sure that when putting paper it goes all the way until the end and the red light will turn green, then you can print.

Does one of these situations apply to you?

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner lights are OFF (Check Smart Panel for message)

  • A Paper Jam has occurred.
  • The Front, Top, or Back Cover is open.
  • There is no paper in the Paper Tray.
  • There is a problem with the Waste Toner container.
  • A major error has occured.

The Status LED light is Blinking/Flashing Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

  • The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Can still be used to print, but quality is unreliable)

The Status LED light is Red and the Toner light(s) are Red

  • The Toner cartridge(s) that are Red need to be replaced. (Printing is not available)
  • The Toner cartridge(s) are not installed properly.

Hi Michael,

run a supplier infor print by holding down the button for 5 sec and release.

check and see if all the color toner has already run low.

once a toner is 0%. it is adviceable to replace it.

you may want to run a repair on the printer driver. by going to windows START -> all programs -> Samsung CLP 310 -> Maintenece - > repair and follow the onscreen next till finish.

this could help some time when you swap USB cable or port or PCA main been replace or updated.

My samsung 315 clp has status LED red light on.


It is a color laser printer.it has 4 toner cartridge(1)black(2)magenta(3)cyan(4)yellow all cartridge is missing or toner finished.Please purchase full set toner.All toner cartridge has a image sensor.When toner is run out then it is out of work.

Samsung CLP-315 system error


Low heat error comes from the fuser unit, there is a thermostat on the fuser change that and it will work
