Shutter speed is the key for sharp pictures in action shots. Depending on the event, 1/250 of a second or higher is the best choice. The Rebel has the 'S' mode, you can set the speed there and let the camera do the rest.

Higher ASA film is required in anything but a bright sunny day. I had great success with Fuji 800. I set the ASA manually to 640 for a bit of over expousre.

Indoors is only darker, you may be able to get away with using 1/125. Unfortunately, flash is not much help beyond 20 feet, unless you have a really powerful one

How many number of shot I can make for canon t3i rebel

Most digital cameras can shoot 150.000 shots before the shutter becomes unreliable. If you take care your camera should do the same. The shutter is supposed the weakest part, because it is the only mechanical part in the camera.

There is a minimal focusing distance for all lenses. If you move closer to the subject than that distance then the camera won't focus on it. Check you lens manual for minimal focusing distance. It is 11 inches for Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM, for example.

Shutter sticks

Does the light flash for 10 seconds, with a series of beeps getting faster before the picture is taken so you miss the shot, or are you saying the shutter stays open for several seconds giving you a whiteout picture?

If the former, then the self-timer is on. Press the button on the back of the camera to the right of the displays just under the AV button. The display icon will change from :-
Hand sweeping round clock = self timer mode
Simple square = single shot mode
Stacked squares = multi shot (keep finger pressed to keep shooting)

Canon Rebel XTi - won't shoot

Hi

Sounds like you have shot so many photos you have worn out the shutter box. The box is usually good for about 10,000 actuations... so... sounds like you have gotten far more than that out of it.

I have one XTi with a buddy right now who is a certified Canon, Nikon and Fuji tech and he's putting in a new shutter box for one of my customers. It's the first one he's done so I will see if he wants to keep doing them or not and how much he would want if he decides he will continue to do them for me.

We are an affordable digital camera repair business, if we can help you with your repair then please let us know.

Good luck from Darntoothysam com

Camera won't shoot with lens on Auto Focus

Talked to canon support, they suggested to send lense in for review/repair. They said it could be the motor, I think it was a gear problem based on the noises and jerkiness of the focusing action while in manual focus (manual focus gave out as well). Cost TBD - "would definately be more than $50. I shopped around and elected to buy a new lense rather than try to hassle with the repair, shipping, insurance, and the wait, etc. Besides, I have a deadline that I need the lense for, so repair at Canon really became a non-option. I think the cost would've been pretty much the same in the end as the new lense, since this wasn't one of the costlier of lenses to begin with.
