Water leaking on fast spin

hi Eamon.
this is what i found from the internet.
Washing machine leaks on spin Last updated on February 6th, 2017
Sometimes a washing machine leaks on spin, but not before. If this is the case, either it's going into spin with too much water inside, or something may only be leaking under the pressure and tub movement caused by spinning.
If you can see water running out of the soap drawer during spin it's probably gone into spin without pumping the water away properly. If it wasn't pumping water out at all it would not go into spin, but a partial obstruction can reduce the flow enough to allow a spin with the water unable to escape fast enough. This causes water to be forced up into the drawer or out of the steam vent at the back. If you suspect this check the last section of this article - Washer leaks from drawer
If water is coming from underneath when it spins then it's more likely to be caused by something leaking only under pressure. Check the door seal all around inside for slits and small holes, especially higher up, which may only open up and let water out when the washer is bouncing around on spin.
Other possible causes are hoses inside the machine which have small holes which open up during spin or which leak where they connect to the tub under spin conditions. These type of leaks often leave tell-tale rust or dry detergent marks. After that there could be a crack or small hole high up in the plastic outer tub which only gets exposed to water when it's forced around the tub during spin.
You are looking for something that is moving and allowing water out when the tub bounces around under load, or something high letting water out when it gets thrashed around the top half of the machine on spin. If you can't see anything obvious get a washing machine engineer

My cabrio will not spin or complete a wash cycle. Acts like iit's unbalanced even when empty. Keep getting an F51 error code

it is most likely a bad center bearing. Was it loud when it sup last? If it was then the bearings are going bad. If not spin the tub by hand and see if its stuck if it is work it back and forth and see if you can break it free. That is still a bad bearing. Also try spinning the basket by hand as fast as you can and see if the bearing sound like they are grinding or smooth. If the bearing seem ok then push down on the tub ring and try to push the tub and basket down it should take quite a bit a pressure to push the tub down is its easy and you can bounce the tub up and down it the washer like a basket ball then you need new support rod they keep the tub stable during spin and when the springs on these go bad they allow the tub to bounce during spin and that causes the unit to go out of balance and stops spinning.

Just moved our washer across country. Now the washing machine is bouncing all over the room during spin cycle. The machine is level. Does it have weights inside that can be adjusted?

yes and no, yes has weights, no can not be adjusted. inspecth the washer for any bent-dents in cabinet and under machine, legs etc. check floor for uneven tiles. last, is possible that internal damage has occurs during transport or a spring came loose in transit. to verify that you have to open iside and inspect.

good luck to you.

Washer bounces when spin starts and seems nosie

If it is brand new are the transit bolts removed? try spin with nothing in it and see if it turns smoothly, if not there is something broken inside, id spins smoothly it will be a fault in the dampers.

During spin cycle, washing machine is bouncing around the room

Sounds like the drum, balance weights have come off, to me. This will cause those symptoms.

When it starts a spin cycle it starts knocking noise. Very loud what is this noise.

This assumes that you have a basic Kenmore / Whirlpool top load, direct drive, neutral drain (it doesn't spin until the pump removes most of the water) machine.

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Also see the Whirlpool / Kenmore installation and maintenance manual.

The first thing that I'd do is pull the cabinet and check the leveling springs and plate pads. These are designed to keep the tub from bouncing against the cabinet during the spin cycle.

Following is a description of how to remove the cabinet.

The Sears diagram shows where the springs and pads are located.

The washer bounces during spin cycle

Front loaders don't like small loads. There's not enough clothing to settle around to balance it. Only do large loads.
