Hi, you have problem with laser shuter on laser unit. It needs to be fixed or replaced. This is canons factory fault, and if the machine is under waranty call service.
There is an option in the print driver to print a separation page (typically just a blank page unless you specify otherwise) so that each person's print jobs can be differentiated easily.
This option probably got enabled somehow on her PC. Have her go into the print driver's properties (right click on the Canon in the list of printers and select Properties) and look for the option that says separation page or separator page and deselect it. Then click Apply or OK, and it should be good.
My MF 6530 printer began printing light so we changed the cartridge and the machine began printing blank pages. When the other cartridge was put back in the machine, it too began printing blank pages. We have several of these machines in a couple of offices and have had this problem before. Canon is aware of the issue with this model, but I would like to know it as well. Can you help with what the problem is and the repair instruction? A friend of mine with this machine and the same problem, had called Canon and they had repaired it quite fast in his office. I'd like to do it myself in case it re-occurrs.
There is a service update from Canon, where a part needs to be change in the laser area. You can try to slam the toner door shut to see if it changes it temporarily, but a laser shutter arm needs to be changed.
