Question about Canon PIXMA iP1500 InkJet Photo Printer

Canon Pixma iP1500: How to insert 5 springs on internal plate?

I disassembled my Pixma iP1500 to clean the waste ink absorbers.
Everything went great until I was putting it back together. I need to insert the 5 springs which sit in the white plate (tilts up and down, helps in feeding paper). But I can't find help on it anywhere. The video I was following does not show this.
Does anyone have a photo of what they should look like?

I found a Service Manual for the iP1500 online. There is a diagram of the printer parts. However, this white plate and its springs are NOT listed! They are not shown in the blown-apart reference photos.

If you're looking at the inside of the printer, this white tray sits under the assembly that holds the printhead slider (front) and the logic board (back). The tray has white rollers just above the Platen ink absorber, and the printhead slides in front of them.

I took a guess as to how the springs should fit after examining the plate and trying several ways to insert the springs again. It seems that I got it right. Too hard to explain without a photo, though.

I just lined up the main housing, put the 2 screws in the front (did not screw in the 3 side screws) ( tried it when the housing was off the springs would just fall down)
just slide the springs in after it is screwed in the short side fits into the white plastic you will see grooves where it lines up on the white plastic piece, the long side of the spring hooks on to the back metal hook on the other side the coil rests in the middle of the prongs

SOURCE: I have cannon pixma ip1500 printer sold in good

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

SOURCE: I appear to need to replace the waste ink absorber

Canon built several models like yours that you can't get an ink absorber for. They are only exchanged during the warranty period where they send you a new printer. After warranty it is considered a throw away printer.

How to take apart Cannon PIXMA iP3000 to clean the waste absorber

You need to replace the ink absorber kit and to completely disassemble the printer to replace the absorber. Attempting to clean the ink absorber is not recommended. Self servicing the absorber can be a very messy operation. I would check with a Canon repair center to see what the cost to have the servicing done by a trained technician. In some cases, it is cheaper to replace the printer.
