You need to activate a software program like Skype or Debut. You may find the article How To Use a Webcam helpful as it describes how to use your webcam for taking pictures, recording videos, and video chat. It recommends several free software tools, and provides links where you can download them.

Fuji finepix won't connect to computer

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

If the camera won't connect with your computer, make sure you have the latest version of the needed software drivers (in your digital camera package or online from the manufacturer). Check your computer for conflicts (two devices trying to use the same port); you may need technical assistance for this one. In some cases you can get things working again by connecting the digital camera, then turning off the computer and turning it back on.

Search Google for a driver for the specific camera. Or download a copy of Kodak Easyshare. If you already have Easyshare software installed, try re-installing or updating.

Camera will not turn ON. I changed the batteries but still no change.

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

My camera won't turn on i charged it and now it won't turn on!

This truly depends on the make and model of your camera. If it uses a rechargeable pack, make sure to fully charge the battery and try it. If this still doesn't work, try plugging it in the computer via USB. If it turns on, then your battery pack may be causing the problem. I would suggest you to bring it to your nearest service center for them to check it out, especially if you still have warranty and so they can replace the battery pack. Some cameras have a reset button at the very bottom (or look into your camera's manual if there is such a thing for your camera) which could be an option as well.
