This is the yellow light of death. It happens when the system overheats causing the solder to melt on the board. It needs to be reflowed professionally. Contact Sony if it is still under warranty. If not, check out www.wiredextreme.com. We are a game console repair company that is BBB accredited. All of our repairs come with a 90 day warranty. Feel free to call 1-888-389-3038 or e-mail support@wiredextreme.com if you have any questions.

Ps3 just cuts out and wont turn on. was playin a game, then it turned off. i tried to turn it back on and the light goes green for 2 seconds, then turns off again bleeping. the red light then flashes...

take it bake to the place you bought, and tell them to send to service, remember to bring your reciept, and the rest is up to them. As you see, this is a hardware breakdown, and should only be fixed by authorized repairmen, if not, the warranty would be void.

My playstation 3 wont start

There is nothing wrong with the PS3. I read in the users manual that when the the green light on the PS3 turns yellow or flashes yellow the PS3 is too hot and you need to turn it off. It has never happened to me because I keep my PS3 in a open area.

When the PS3 gets to hot you need to let it sit and cool for a little while and then you can turn it back on and start playing again. If the PS3 cools for a while and it still doesn't work you need to call Sony.
