Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

I have a Pioneer PRO 210HD - owned since new. Everything still works great, but the picture doesn't seem as bright/vibrant as it used to be. Do the projection bulbs dim after time? If so, is it cost effective to replace the bulbs?

Canon pro 9000 printing not printing vibrant colors

I've had 5 Pro9000 & Pro9000 II's so far. Mechanically sound and fairly heavy duty. Mostly by default they print muddy or muted, with unsatisfactory reds and yellows. The default settings usually suck. I have had to develop my own driver settings and save them to printer profiles for individual situations. There is a lot of control in the driver settings and I recommend making your own color charts for reference, displaying the settings on each page. I also recommend regular nozzle checks and calibration. Avoid cleaning via the driver utility as this wastes a lot of ink, which is all deposited on the bottom of your printer and eventually has to be dealt with. Instead, remove and soak the head. Completely dry before reinstalling.

Would like optimum picture settings

Well 1st of all 1080p is going to be the highest right now. The highest quality you can obtain by using a HDMI cable for your hookup cable. Also be sure that the box, movie player, or game system is 1080p or 1080i (not quite as good as P) or 720p which are all great quality picture. Each TV too now a days comes with a menu of picture settings,. I prefer the Vibrant setting for most shows and roughly the following number Brightness 48, Color 47, sharpness 20, Tint 0, COntrast 85 but this is for my tv. Hope this helps you out.

Pioneer Elite Pro 620 HD TV on several occasions the screen has gone black but sound continues and the power green libht remains on. After shutting down for 10-15 minutes picture comes back.

Pioneer Elite Pro rear projection 620HD - Picture is still there but brightness and "white" have faded over years allowing for mediocre viewing when room is dark only. During the daylight picture is visible if viewed straight on and within 15 feet from set. Any suggestions?

I have a pioneer elite pro 100 projection tv. the picture seems to be getting darker and darker. and the color seems to be fading as well what could be wrong? and i havent tried to turn up the brightness...

hi..first check it out the brightness. It is available in the
menu button, available on the top of the tv.If it still doesnt
work Projection TVs have a high intensity lamp as the light
source. They wear out and gradually get dim.You probably
need to replace it.
check it out..

The intermittencies you mention are common on this
series. The PS - power supply - board needs a
virtually complete resolder op, as the solder used in
that run of units was weak and thin. It will not get
better on its own, any more than needed dental work
will.

Send it to me and I will resolder it and send it back.
I have done so on a number of PS boards in this series,
and am running at 100% success on saving the
510/610/710 series of Pioneer Elites when all they need
is the resoldering op. There is a procedure to follow,
so contact me directly.
