Lincoln ranger 10,000 putting out 19 volts AC and 9 volt DC.I have replace the bridge diode that didn't help .

You smoked off the regulator , a transformer is for AC voltage change like say a step up or step down and the trxfmer just shot AC voltage to where DC should have been. The bridge rectifier is what changes the AC to DC not a transformer . If you have soldering skills you can replace it on the board , it could be you just cooked off a diode (1 of 4 to make bridge) . Hope this helps

Printer is not turning on


Hi dear friend , seems your problem is depend to dc controler board which makes hi and low voltages and sends them to other sections like drive motor-display - laser unit - fusing section and other parts in the mashine . If you are a technision so you know well what can you do , if not , just follow power cord and check if there is in put AC voltage ( 220 or 110 volts)on the power supply board ? If you saw the voltage on the diode bridge go a little further on the maun capacitor and check about 300 dc volts on it . If there is not ac and dc volts , you should remove main connection from power supply to dc board then check the voltages that mentioned . Remember that , this is step by step diagnostic finding issue and all of my prefers to you was depend to this point that be careful and if there is nothing voltage even on the panel lights . yes, your speakers will be damaged. do not connect 19 volts to a 9 volt device. go to walmart or radioshack and purchase the correct power supply.

damage can be ascertained from the power regulator, you can check the transistor / STR power regulator, and Diode Bridge (AC-DC), check the Positive and Negative on Elco 220/450 volt power regulator, is there a short circuit? if no, probably from before entering the diode, it can be from thermistor. Hopefully help

The schematics don't show this, however reverse engineering this there are two windings... one is for the phantom power of 48 VDC... this winding needs to provide about 55 to 60 volts DC to the 48 volt regulator. EXPECT around 40 to 50 volts AC on this winding to the full wave bridge of D1,2,3,8.

The +/- 16 volt power regulated by LM317 and LM337 regulators will likely require about 20 volts DC into the regulators. It will be less than 25 volts because there is a 25 volt cap filtering.

Given a 20 volt DC from the diodes D5,6 and diodes D4,7 the transformer will be around 15 VAC either side of the centertap.

A minimum would be 12.5 VAC and say 18 VAC either side of center.

You should see near pure DC across C1 and C2 with only a little ripple of 2 volts MAX. The ripple should be 120 Hz. An oscilloscope is your friend in this area !!!

you cannot check a microwave diode with just a mutli meter . you have to make a test jig take a 9 volt battery and a meter with dc volt scale set up the meter just like you would test a 9v battery .with me so far ? now remove one lead from the battery and insert the diode between the battery and the test lead .......take a reading . now reverse the diode take a reading ........ i just tested a diode before writeing this and this is what i got my battey volts where 9.2 v whith the diode inserted i got 7volts . reversing it i got .02 volts dc . a diode is a one way valve and mine is good because it passed curent only one way ...yours should be about the same ....... if you understand this please leave me 4 stars ! i even went out in the shop and tested a diode for you just to make sure my answer was correct

I recently received a really nice R600 Kenwood.


Hi Doug,

To my knowledge, the Kenwood R600 straight from the box runs only on AC power hence no DC jacks.

However, there is a DCK-1 accessory which is a DC cord kit for this receiver.

Alternately, the secondary output of the transformer is 14VAC which is feed to the bridge diode of the power supply on the PLL unit/board. With that in mind, it would then be OK to hardwire 13.8VDC right after the bridge diode and parallel to the big filter capacitor. It may be a good idea to put an inline reverse protection diode and a fuse. Of course any DC type of jack/plug combination/arrangement may also be used.

Additionally, you might be interested in a service manual for the Kenwood R600 which is available here.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
