Question about Whirlpool Ultimate Care II LSQ9549L Top Load Washer

WP Ultimate Care II model #LSB6500PW3 sticks when spinning

I have a WP Ultimate Care II model #LSB6500PW3 and I just had the coupler replaced but now it won't spin. It fills and agitates and then instead of spinning the water out it just drains it. If I go and open the lid I can hear it click and then when I close it the washer does start spinning. I have looked for answers online and some say it may be the clutch and others say that it may be the lid switch. Any ideas??

lid switch is bad chance are you can by pass this by removing the timer header and crossing the outer wire on the lid switch that it mounted closest to the lid not the power cord this will tell you if you need a switch

The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.

I have a wirlpool ultimate care washer the drivecoupler is broke how do I know the tranny is good ? or is the tranny bad and this is what broke the coupler?

most of the time coupler will be fine. but it could be broke b/c of tranny. spin by hand make sure tranny will spin freely both ways. make sure it adjitates and spins. then replace coupler start it up. the good thing is that a coupler is cheap so if it ends up being bad you didnt spend much anyways.

Washer will not spin.

May be the coupler between the motor and the transmission.

Whirlpool washer model LLR7144DQO WILL NOT SPIN WOULD THAT BE THE COUPLER

Hi, If it does not spin or agitate, it could be the coupler. If it just sits quiet while in spin cycle, it could be the lid switch.
If it hums while in spin cycle, it could be the pump hung up.
If I can assit you further, please let me know.

Ultimate care 2 washer not spinning - not coupler

the transmission has to complete several revolutions before it engages the "spinning gear" but once engaged it should continue to turn the clutch plate as long as it is turned the same direction.
before suspecting the transmission i would first check the plastic piece above the clutch plate.aca822b.jpg
