Hello
E805 error code means failure of one of the many fans inside the copier. If there is not a dash with four numbers after the 805 code on the display, it is one of two fans - FM1 the transport bed fan or FM9 - the reversing fan just below the fuser assy. There are several checks that can be done but a too lengthy to be described. In the End, all the process would be worthless if you didn't got that much technical expertise (soldering/de-soldering, assembling.....)
The Error E805 is generally associated with some sub error codes, here is the list of those errors and a general way to trouble shoot...
E805 Error code details Fan rotation error

The clock signal is absent for 5 sec or more after the fan drive signal has been generated. The detail codes of the fans in question are as follows:
0001 developing fan (FM1)
0002 fixing fan (FM2)
0003 curl reducing fan (FM4)
0004 curl reducing fan (FM5)
0005 electrical unit fan (FM3)

Main cause
The fan wiring is faulty (short circuit, open circuit). The fan is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.

  • If there is any foreign matter that prevents the rotation of the fan, remove all that contamination.
  • Make sure that the wiring and connector of the fan is in working condition.
  • Check for the working of the fan by removing it from the electrical unit. If fan is Ok and still getting the problem, Replace the DC controller PCB.

Cross checking all above possibilities require technical expertise, So if you think that unfortunately you are lagging behind a bit in this area, then ultimately you need to contact professional Repair person.
Best of Luck,

Please do RATE my solution, If found HELPFUL,

Regards.

That error code means that there is something wrong with the fixing unit. Try to get into service mode by pressing : The "add. Fun." "*" then the numbers "2" & "8" at the same time then press the "Add. Fun" button again. The display should change, then Press the Function on the top of the display, then press the "CLR", then "ERR" then the "OK" in the bottom coner of the display. Turn the Main power switch OFF on the right side of the copier, then back ON.

    The * button

  • Arjun Komath May 04, 2010

The Error Code is related to an Over temp issue in the fuser unit.

A few things to look at are:

    A. Thermister - The fuser Temp sensor.
    B. Composite Power supply
    C. SSR1 - Solid State Relay
    D. DC Controller PCB.

Code error E805 in OCE copier means that you have to change the web cloth .

Calling a Tech would be advice able, as the repair requires professional tools.

MY PRINTER PIXMA MX310 SWITCH DOESNT TURN ON AND THE ALARM SHOWS. thier is no lcd displayed WHAT DOES ITMEAN?

Possible that the power supply is faulty as there can be a link failure to the display, Also it can be a failure of the display drivers, Possible fault in the display sub processor or even the main board.
You need to cross check and confirm with voltage checks on the power, display and main board.

Display gone, no longer functioning

Green light but no display- most likely main transformer is gone (60%), 35%- blown main fuse, 5%- bad display or power supply. You are lucky if unit is still under warranty. Solution- repair shop.

Display doesn't work, but oven works

First turn the electricity off by locating the breaker to the oven and turn it off. Now wait for an hour or so and turn the breaker back on, if the display turned back on, you need a control board (other manufatures call it a clock, PCB or ECC but it's the main elctronic board with the diaplay built in). If it didn't come back on, turn the power off again and make sure all the wire harness's going to the board are connected good. Turn the power back on and it the display still doesn;t come back on you need to replace the main electronic control board. By the way double check the model number and brand because it might be wrong. Please post back.
