I would be checking for air leaks, this will give you a lean mixture. In particular look for the seals for the balance tubes and each carb.

Clean or change air filter. Clean, gap or change spark plug. Empty gas tank add fresh gas with Stabil. When spark plug is removed pull rope several times to blow out cylinder. Spray starter fluid in spark plug hole before replacing spark plug. Clean outside of carb so choke works freely. Spray starter fluid into carb breather hole with air filter removed and try to start. if running replace air filter and cover. If no start disassemble carb and clean. If no start replace carb.

2003 harley 1200 custom sportster with 50 miles strats up fine with choke pulled out. once engine is warm and choke is pushed in 50% bike stalls out. have repalaced gas, spark plugs and just took apart...

A 2003 model with only 50 miles?? Wow....well,since youve already taken the carb apart and cleaned it,did you hook up the vaccum line for the VOES switch on the intake manifold? If so,..when you get the bike running,..spray some brake clean around the intake where it bolts to the heads. If the idle picks up,or starts to sputter,..youve got leaking intake gaskets. Which is a good possibility on a bike that old with that few miles on it.The choke essentailly adds more fuel to the motor, and by what your saying, the bike is obviously running lean. Also,...im ASSUMING that you have fresh gas in it,and the petcock is turned on.

Bike has been sitting for only 2 months. Will start with choke on, running around 3500-4500 rpms. Once I take the choke off, it immediately dies. Also when it is running with the choke on, a slight roll...

This is probably a blocked idle jet in the carb, caused by standing and fuel gumming the jets up. The jet that the choke uses will allow it to run, but go to normal running and the idle jet is failing. You MIGHT get away with emptying the tank and getting some (expensive) fuel antifreeze (This is ethol alchohol they use in race cars) run through the bike. It might just melt the gumk and clean things out. If it doesn't, then its probably carb off and strip time :-(

Suzuki bandit 400vc hard starting been to mechanic . do carb overhaul and carb synch but still hard starting. . already change the starter motor nothing happens . . everytime i push start button nothing...

You only have 2 ways to go......1. fuel .....2. spark, if your cranking your bike, first off try this. crank it with no choke . if nothing happens , take your choke pull it all the way out, now crank it.
if it fires, push choke half way in, continue to crank, it should start . If nothing happens a all .

You have to pull out spark plugs, look at them closely . Is it soaked with gas ? or is it dry as a bone ? if it is soaked with gas, clean it up and dry it off, now check your gap it should be alright
but just check it anyways if the gap is to much it will not fire inside the cyclinder, if it is closed
to much it will not fire . take your plug put it back in just the plug wire and rest it up against the
head or any metal surface, now crank your bike if it has a good blue spark your good with the
electrial check both plugs same way . Now if that is ok , then you have to move on to the fuel.
if you have new clean fuel, good , if it is old like lat years get rid of it . drain everything tank and
all of your fuel filters replace, make sure all of your lines are flowing and carb will clean them self.
give it a little bit after it starts running be gentle with let everything catch up. If it needs final

adjustment on carbs take it back to who ever rebuilt them . Good Luck

if you are getting gas, it's probably too much. is it flooding the motor. make sure your float level height is okay and that your float needle valve assembly is clean and not sticking. if you have an electronic choke, try disconnecting it. it might be malfunctioning. also a possibility your valves need to be adjusted.

I had a high performance pipe on my bike, it got damaged, put stock pipe back on and it ran fine for a couple of months, it started to backfire at idle and with throttle off but still had plenty of power. ...

I would take a close look at the valves, if you are sure the carb is entirely clean. (Accelerator pump and everything)
A closed up exhaust can harm an exhaust valve.
Start with a compression test.
Good spark?
Is the plug wet?

I have a 02 kx 85 when u ckoke the bike it runs choke off bike shuts off

The choke allows more fuel. I would guess that you have a plugged jet in the carburator. Remove it and go through it all to make sure all passageways are clear.

2003 yamaha wrf 250 carb problem

(1) You will need to adjust the float pin to get the correct amount of fuel in the float chamber of the carburator.
(2) You will also need to set the air-mixture screw , but before you do tht remove the spark plug and see whats the condition of it, is it black , is it brownish, or is it whitish.
If its blackish = means rich too much of fuel, if its browinsh= ok, if its whitish = its too lean.
(3) As for hesitation, check the needle at carbs piston on the accelerator cable, and blow the main jet with high pressure.
(4) Check too the spark plug gap and if its as per the manufacturers specs.

Hope this helps!
