Question about Electrolux Ovens

How do I remove the fan from an electrolux EGC652 oven

The fan blade wobbles on the shaft and hits the element. I have not been able to undo the nut holding the fan blade (neither clockwise nor anti clockwise)

It seems like the shaft may be turning in the blade when I turn the nut whilst holding the fan blade.

Hello,
The model no. does not seem correct.but it seems as if the hole in the fan blade which is normally D shaped has worn round. The thread on the shaft is Left handed and you will need to undo by turning clockwise. If you can get a vice grips at the back of the blade to hold the shaft then try again,or you will need to get into the back casing and try jamming the shaft at the motor housing you may need some help. Then if that works you will need to undo the 3 bolts holding the Motor body to the rear casing. The new fan would normally come with new bolts, blade and nut.To tighten fan blade nut use a 10mm socket hold the fan blade and tighten anticlockwise.Hope this is helpful.

Good luck.

Replace oven fan motor

Take out the shelves and side hangers. SWITCH OFF.
There is usually a panel at the back of the oven cavity, undo the screws around it to access the fan blade. At this point you should be able to determine if there is another panel that the fan mounts onto that comes out through the front. (unlikely). Undo the centre nut on the fan blade which is usually a left hand thread - turn clockwise to undo. Take off the fan blade.
Next you gotta get to the rear of the oven and remove the back panel to access the fan motor. Once inside note down where the wires go. Remove wires from motor.
Back inside the oven cavity you will find screws that hold the motor in place (often three). Have someone hold the motor while you undo them. The motor should now be withdrawn from the rear.
Replace motor in reverse order.

My omega europa oven is not heating up .grill fan

Sounds like a faulty fan oven element. To replace: Disconnect from power (usually easiest to switch off at fuse box). Remove racks etc from inside oven. Remove rear panel inside oven- four screws. You will now see a heating element that goes around the fan- often you see blow mark on element. You need to remove the back panel of oven to access the nuts that hold element in- two nuts, undo nuts, remove wiring from element. New element available from any good appliance repair shop. Reverse procedure to refit. Happy fixing!!

My electrolux eod33002 bottom oven does not heat up but light and fan work. The top oven works OK

If youhave a ELECTROLUX electric Cooker or Fan Ovenwhich is not heating it could be one of the following problems.

1, If the fan motor in theback of the oven is going round and the temperature light is on (normallylittle red light), but there is no heat then you will probably need a new ovenelement, these are generally very easy to fit and readily available from our websitethese can be tested with a electric meter.
To gain access to the ELECTROLUX element you willhave to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will seethe fan and element, if you look closely at the element you willprobably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes howeverthere is no evidence of a fault but the element is opencircuit i.e. broken inside the element casing, either way it will needreplacing. Some elements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are heldin place by nuts from the rear of the machine.

2, If your ELECTROLUXfan oven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning thefood more on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor isworking you will see the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element isheating but the fan motor is notblowing the heat into the oven then you need To replace the oven fan motor is alittle more expensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem i.e. your ovenis over heating and burning everything then you will need to replace your ELECTROLUXoven thermostat

4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer isif your ELECTROLUX oven is not working at all i.e. noheat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTOmode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

It should not be neccessery to remove fan to fit new element, I have never had to do so, but if you need to remove the fan blade, then unscrew the nut clockwise, as though you were tightening it, holding the fan blade as you are undoing the nut
Plz rate my solution.

Changing Smeg SA280X/1 fan motor, shaft nut stuck?

Most fan blades are held on by a single nut, which is usualy a left hand thread, so to unscrew it you turn it clockwise as though you are tightening it up.and to tighten it,anticlockwise..
If the spindle turns, then you will have to hold it with a pair of grips or similar.
Plz rate my solution.
Thabks.
