Won`t start to dry second load of clothes after the first. dryer humms?

If hum is coming from motor and it won't restart until it cools down, it usually means the motor is going bad and overheating. This could also be caused by excessive lint around motor area or blocked vent but usually the motor itself.

Tip

SENSOR DRY IN SAMSUNG DRYERS

As a tech, I'm constantly fielding questions about loads of clothes not drying properly in the larger Samsung dryers--and this tip can be used for a lot of dryers with the sensor-dry feature. Sensor drying uses a pair of metal strips located on the filter holder or on the back wall in the dryer. When wet clothes rub against the strips, this sends a signal to the main board which tells the dryer to keep going. Unless large loads are used, the consumer should use "timed dry". This is because smaller loads won't hit the sensor strips often enough and cause the computer to count down too rapidly. Also, consumers should try to make sure like items are placed with like items( shirts with shirts, pants with pants, towels with towels, etc) Thick clothing(jeans, heavy sweatshirts, etc.) usually will have damp spots like pockets due to the moisture not being able to contact the sensor strips--the technology is not 100%. Also, if there are problems with the timer starting to count down too rapidly all the time, and dryer sheets are used, the sensor strips may be coated with a waxy layer. Use some super fine emory cloth to polish the coating off of the sensor strips. You very well might find that the problem is solved and not have to initiate a service call!

Won't work. No service code.

the first things to check is the door switch, open the door and push in the switch,if it doesn\'t click when pushed in the switch is bad, next thing to check is the belt,on some models there\'s a switch on the pulley assy. if there isn\'t any tension on the pulley the dryer won\'t start.if you need more help i need the model number off of the dryer, open the door and lolook around the opening where you put the clothes in and you\'ll see a tag with the model number,if the dryer hasn\'t been taken apart and cleaned out the thermal fuse could have popped,if the dryer gets to hot inside from a blocked vent line or the duct that the lint filter slides into is blocked the fuse will pop and it\'s non resetable.

UN-ending Auto dry cycle

This is caused by the dryer vent being blocked and not allowing the moist air to be removed from the dryer. To confirm this. Dry a load of close in a timed dry setting. Set the time on a specific time and then start the dryer. Wait for about 5 min. See if the timer has moved. If it has then the problem is not the timer. It is the exhaust vent being plugged up somewhere. Moisture how the auto dry setting works. The dryer sences moisture and runs longer to dry your clothes. With the dryer exhaust vent blocked, wet moist air is comming back into the dryer and fooling the sensor into believing the close are not dry and runs for a very long time. It is not uncommon for this problem to cause a dryer to never shut off. Your dryer exhaust vent is plugged up with lint somewhere.
