Good afternoon, Arne725:

I hope this message finds you well.

You can find clear silicone sealer here:

http://www.amazon.com/Permatex-80050-Clear-Silicone--3-Ounce/dp/B0002UEPVI/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1308017776&sr=1-1

and if you are feeling artistic, some pinstriping will nicely accent the tank.

How to replace grease seal on rear axle

Leaking oil at the rear wheels can be one of two things, Easy fix is brake fluid, this would be the rear brake wheel cylinder leaking. Check your brake fluid tank under the hood for low fluid. If that is ok. Your leak may be your rear axle shaft seal. You need to remove the tire/wheel ether way. Jack up the car to pull the wheel, take your lugs loose while the tire is still on the ground, it is easy to take them loose this way. Take the EM: brake off, and jack up this side of the car. Your car could have disk or drums as both are offered on some Dodges. Once the tire is off you will see if you have disk or drums brakes. If drums you will need to pull the drum off at access the brake cylinder to see if that is leaking or not. If drums you have to back off the brake shoes by the adjusting wheel thru a small access window in the back plate. If you have disk brakes the caliper is right there and will be easy to see if it is leaking. If you have determined it is the rear axle seal leaking, this may be best done by a shop, due to needing a few special tools to remove the axle and then reinstall a seal. You will need a slide hammer. If drum brakes you will have to remove the brake backing plate, this means shoes and all hardware, please take pictures and get as good focus as you can to see how everything goes back together. Once down to the axle mounting, remove the 4 bolts and attach the slide hammer and pop out the axle, catch any fluid that will leak out, once out you can determine which type of seal set up you have as some have press fit collars that may have to be cut off. . Hope this helps FixYa up.

Good Afternoon, ABC9363:

You may buy with confidence. There is a retrofitting device available so that all units can fit the S4 monitor. You will find it here:

Amtrol them-x trol drum is leaking from top egde.I like to know how ti fix

Once these start to leak, usually the best solution is to replace the tank. It is corroding and will only corrode more with time. You could try epoxy for a short term fix, something like liquid metal.

My waterrower has a leaking seam in the plastic tank. I know its not that expensive to get it fixed, but its a big hassle...80 mile round trip in heavy traffic. Is it ok to use plastic sealant like you use...

I sealed my tank seal permanently and also fixed cracks on the bottom with Loctite PL Marine Fast Cure Adhesive Sealant. On the inside when the tank was apart I glued a heavy plastic patch directly over the cracks in the bottom. I made the patch from a flat section of plastic cut from an old refrigerator crisper drawer. After installation with the tank laying flat and level glue the upper side of the tank to the adjacent wood for stability. Wait a few days before filling. Photos are attached. The brakes were working just fine then all of a sudden they became so sensitive that they lock up with the slightest pressure on the pedal. what could cause this and how do i fix it?

This symptom is typical of a leaking slave cylinder inside a drum brake. The leaking fluid causes the drum to stick and lock the wheel. If you have drum brakes, pull both drums and check for leaks at the cylinder.

The paddle is touching the inside of the water **** and making a rubbing sound, help!!

I bet itts rubbing on the tank side closest to the seat right ? same thing happenned to me, also on Ash Wood

WaterRower suggests putting splints/shims... under the front end of the tank to gently lift it up a bit.
This sort of helps, but wasnt a long term solution.... didnt work too well.
still trying to figure out what to do

Monitor doesn't work after few seconds

Hey, I just called customer service (800-852-2210). The rep said to make sure that the smaller disk (on top of big spool) is flush with the underside of the top board. In my case it wasn't catching the metal cylinder which sends data to the monitor. Quick fix with a screwdriver or butter knife! Good luck.
