Thanks. I'm in the UK and my wife is at the house in Texas. Any idea where the fuse box is on that model? I'll try to talk her through it.

It sounds like she has shorted out the main starter fuse, so just go through the fuse and look for the starter fuse or ignition fuse's.

Let me know if you need more information.

Yep get her to have a look under the bonnet by the battery and also inside the cabin on the right hand side. either the dash or by the accellarator.

My New Holland TC-30 tractor runs fine but when we start it, the fuel & water gauges slowly go up and finally peg, staying pegged until we shut it off.

First thing ALWAYS is to check the grounds. It's a bad ground connection on the gauges at the sending units.

TL80 New Holland tractor will not start

Check connections at battery, starter solenoid and starter motor, make sure they are clean and tight. Check the both ends of ALL wires. Check starter is not jammed. Check starter mounting bolts are tight. Make sure battery is good by using jump leads from known good battery (like your car).

My daughter has a 2000 stratus... she drove it the other day and it was fine. She went to start it tonight and the interior lights came on but the car would start. we tried to jump It but it still did...

You should know how old the battery is

They can last 3 years or 9 years

You could have it tested at parts store

If over 5 years old just replace with the
largest cca rating for that size or group battery

A good battery is about $120.00

Check the cables for corrosion & being

Jumping a dead battery can be a dangerous
proposition if any cells are shorted inside

New holland TC33DA won't start

Sounds like a bad starter. Try giving it a few good taps while turning the key. Sometimes they can get warped and get stuck. Had to start my car for weeks doing this till I could afford a new one. Could also be the solenoid too but im not sure if it would even click if that was bad. Good luck.

No power at all

This might sound stupid but check to make sure the terminals are attached tight so they are making a good connection. This happened once on my truck because the ground cable came loose somehow

Lost glow plug function

Had same thing happen on my New Holland 1630. Took the buss bar off the glow plugs and pulled them out and tested with test leads on the battery. They glowed. Put a volt/ohm meter on the buss bar and turned the key to glow position, no 12 volts present. Checked for blown fuse, nothing blown. Looked at relays. There was a glow plug lamp timer next to the start relay. Wiggled wires going to timer while asking for glow with key. Saw the glow lamp flicker. Took timer out and opened it up. Found a broken solder joint on circuit board resulting in a loose capacitor. Soldered the crack and put back on tractor. That was it! Glow plugs work now.
