Question about Ridgid 14" Band Saw with Stand

Rigid 14" Band Saw Stand Bounce

I bought a new Rigid 14" Band Saw but the stand top that the saw sits on goes up and down when the saw runs. I checked the wheel balance and reset the motor belt tension three times to make sure those weren't the problem behind the saw bounce. Also checked the leveling feet. But the problem seems to be a weak metal top to the stand. Any way to firm up the center of the stand top so the saw quits bouncing?

Yes, take it back to the store that sold it and get them to replace or repair the problem. Hope this helps!

What makes a delta 28-243F 14" band saw blade keep coming off?

The most common is wheel misaligment. The top wheel has an adjusting screw or the equivalent somewhere, and you can turn that to align the blade to the center of the wheels.
Second most common is guide problems. There are some guides that are supposed to hold the blade "just right" above and maybe below the table where you are cutting These must be set to support the blade in it's correct position as you are cutting through the material you are cutting.
3rd problem is a saw blade that has lost it's tension from being
" worn out ".
Be blessed.

Rigid band saw tires come off

Glue them on. You might need to replace them. They're standard for just about all brands of 14" band saws. If you do that, check into replacing the blocks that rub the sides of the blade with ceramic. They work great.

I hope this helps, if not, please repost with your model number.

The delta universal miter saw stand will not adjust to level posi

Hi, The legs on the stand should have leveling pads on it. at the bottom of each stand legs, there is a hole which the pad goes in. you can adjust the pad by unloosening the top nut. put a level on the saw base and adjust the pad up or down to level your stand.

If this doesn’t work for you, please write back. Thanks,

Motor power question

Horsepower is the maximum power produced by the motor. Saws with high horsepower ratings are good for pattern cutting and cutting down thick stock. Higher horsepower also allows the saw to cut through thick stock without bogging down or burning the wood.
