Replace bulb and clean dust out of all cooling fans, may require you take back off set and remove and disassemble projector inside.

I am having problems with my Westinghouse LCD TV. When i 1st turn it on, everything is fine but after a couple minutes I lose picture. The audio is fine and continues on. I unplug the tv from the outlet...

No quick fixes. A component such as a capacitor is heating up and failing. Sometimes a cracked solder connection will work fine until it heats up and no longer sustains the connection.

When the screen goes off, shine a very bright flashlight at the screen to see if the image is still there. In many cases, the problem is the screen backlight, which consists of several CCFL tubes (fluorescent lamps) and a circuit board called the inverter (similar to a lamp ballast).

If the image is there, but the backlight is off, then you just may need a new inverter board.

Samsung HLP4674W - changed bulb - still no picture - lights flash

If the lamp has been replaced I would think the Lamp ballast would be most likliest followed by the color wheel and then the Digital board. You can get any part needed for your model at www.tvrepairworld.com just leave them a email they respond quickly.

Tv turns on briefly then goes out with red flashing status light

This is exactly intermitent problem, It needs to be trouble shoot at the repair shop if the problems occurs from power supply or high voltage. It needs a lot of test and equuipement to be accurate. And also the specific parts.

Picture goes intermittent after a while; sound plays throughout.

I would take it to a repair shop, they charge around $50 to look it over, and then tell you want is wrong with it and they will give you the cost to fix it. This is what I do when TV's go out. It will save you time and money in the long run.

If you open the back, look at the can shaped items. If any of them have the tops bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should solve your picture problem, unless there is something else wrong. What is happening,is they are heating up,and the picture goes out.I bet the longer you have the TV off,the longer it stays on?Hope this helps.Thank You very much! It's probably something wrong inside, so if you don't want to open it you will probably have to send it in for repair. Since it's only two years old, might you still have waranty on it? Try to contact the dealer to find out. If not, I fixed a similar problem on my Sony TV by opening it up, and adjusting the knobs inside. I adjusted *one at the time*, and returned it to its starting position if it didn't seem to have any effect. I finally found one that caused my TV to stay on. If you open it, be very carefull. There are components that can shock you *even if the TV is off and disconnected!* So don't touch any metal with your fingers. While you're in there, clean out any dust to reduce risk of fire later.
