Managing sites (by 2 users)

I have already built a site in dreamweaver and I am ready to transfer it to my ftp to get it up. But the problems start there. Once I have transfered the site to the ftp and go to view it, i see no images and none of my links work. So I was wondering if some one out there might have a few answers to help me solve this problem. I am not at all the one who should be working on a web site. But some how it has fallen into my job discription... So if you can help please...
