Hello Dorothy,

The company has no manual available online. My best advice would be to contact the distribution company. I have included a link below for this product.

Hello Kitty 5.1 MP Camera Support

There is a link under the product information that will open a box to enter your name, email, and question.

You can also use their Contact page:

http://www.sakar.com/ContactUs.aspx

Having said that....

You may be able to do one of two things: (1) When you are connected to the computer, go to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer. On the left side will be a list of what is on your computer. Click on the little + next to My Computer. You should also see your main hard drive listed as C:\. If you have CD or DVD drives they will also be listed with different letters such as E:\ or F:\. Under those should be your camera with another designation. If you click on that drive the contents should be displayed on the right side of the screen. You can then delete the picture files by right-clicking on the pictures and select Delete. You can delete all by clicking on the first picture, hold the Shift key, click on the last picture, click File>Delete on the main menu on top.

(2) The second thing to try (and I don't know what menu items are available on the back of the camera) but most digital cameras have a Format option on one of the menus. Formatting will remove all pictures.

I hope this is some help. If you need clarification, just use the comment link on the page.

Thanks for using Fixya.

We purchased a camera for our daughter from Target chosen after asking the Target employee questions. We were looking for a lightweight digital camera that was "real" for our young daughter. I...

Hello, Cameras today are all rated as mega pixels. The higher the (MP) the more detailed a photo will be. Vivitars' higher end cameras are great, but their entry-level ones aren't. Sometimes when purchasing a budget camera, you may notice that the built in lcd (for preview) looks really grainy. This is because the manufacturer uses a cheap lcd display to keep the costs down. Now if the digital picture itself is grainy, then it's time to return that camera. I don't want to just blurt out a camera model to you because I do not know the age of your child and at what level of responsibility she has with fragile electronics. But generally speaking, Canon cameras are amongst the best. Whether it's an entry level model or a high-end model, these cameras are fantastic. Again, the image produced is rated by its MP.....anything over 3MP (which most cameras are currently) and you will be taking high quality shots. Honestly, I would look into Canon and pick one that is sleek and maybe her favorite color. You CANNOT go wrong with them, unless she breaks it. =) I bought one for my sister, one for my dad, and one for myself and am so happy with it. Sony has nice cameras too in this price range but did not have the same ergonomics features (to me). The best thing to do is stop by a BestBuy and play around with a few cameras. I hope you see what I mean when you hold a Canon in your hands. To be realistic, you should spend around $140-$200 max. I bought myself a Canon SD600 years ago, with I believe 6MP(which is pretty outdated) and I absolutely love it.
My advice to you is however cheap the camera, get her a Canon. =) Hope this helps.

Image Size
The image size and quality setting determines the number of photos that can be saved and the amount of
memory required for each photo. The higher the photo quality the more memory it will use up. The image size
and quality will also affect the maximum size you can print your photo effectively. To set the Image size:
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Press Right/Left button to select the Image Size mode.

3. Press the Up/Down button to select the desired image size.
4. Press the Menu button to confirm, save and exit to standby mode.
If this still doesn't work, press the menu button twice.

Lost Software

There is an alternate way of downloading images from the memory card from the camera.
Get a USB memory card reader, remove the memory card from the camera, insert it into the card reader, then plug the card reader into the USB port of your computer. You will now see card reader as an external memory device, open the folder and copy your photos onto your hard drive.
