Panasonic NN 9859 Membrane switch

I have one unit Panasonic NN 9859 and now the membrane panel is not working. i have sent to Panasonic service centre and they cant find replacement parts of the membrane switch as it is no longer in production. I have searched through the internet and found the part number to be A630Y5460HQP for NN 9859 but the service centre say the part number should be A630Y5820HQP which I found to be for the NN 9850 model.

Can some one please confirm whether the part number is correct before I place an order from Australia? Thanks very much.

Yes, you are correct. The membrane switch for this model was discontinued. The correct part number for the membrane switch is A630Y5460HAP for model NN 9859.

PANASONIC Microwave Inverter #NN-SD697S. Everything works except the START button. Works sometimes, and not other times. Checked outlet, all was good.

This is either the door sensing switch (most likely) or a bad membrane switch [start switch] (that's what Panasonic calls it) on the touch pad. The contacts on the door sensing switch can be slightly contaminated and not read "zero ohms" to the control PCB. The control board thinks that the door is open and it will not allow the cook cycle to start.

A membrane switch is a type of electrical switch. It's often used in kitchen appliances because they have no external moving parts and thus are immune to splashes and dirt. See

My panasonic microwave NN-772SBBPQ works for about 12 seconds does not heat and stops

This indicates a short in the keypad membrane that is attached to the control board, depending on age, replacement of the microwave oven might be a better option.

When power went off and then came back on, screen on micro wave continually shows demo and I cannot set time

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes and try again.

If it still won't work, then you may have a bad membrane keypad / DP circuit.

If your model is NN-P295SF, the service is here.

Parts can be ordered from Encompass here.

National NN-C988W From where do I get a new control panel to replace?

I would say you need the keypad (also called the membrane switch) and the circuit board is good.

Panasonic NN9859

Since this is a non-US model, I don't have any specific information.

But it may be that your part number has been superceded by the number the service center is giving you.

Or the keypad may work, yet differ cosmetically.

You should ask the servicer if this is the case.

Keypad works only half of the time!!

You have a problem due to Membrane key panel which is fixed on front panel. As i can understand from your complaint that Membrane key panel to be replaced. For replacement of bulb only you have to do is to open the screws of bulb housing and it is very simple to replace the bulb as you normaly replace in your home.remove from it's socket and get the similer type of bulb to fix.
