Question about LG Flatron F700P 17" CRT Monitor
Hi this is the way how to examine what's wrong with
your LCD monitors. After you turned it on and the screen blacked out, you have
to check that if you can see the image on the screen or not by shining a
flashlight into the screen, not directly but find the best angle to the screen
and take a look very closely. If you can see the icons or any image, there will
be a minor problem. This is because of the lamps inside screen. Some of them
were broken and it is very easy to replace. If you cannot see anything on the
screen, there'll be some problems with inverter board.
Hope this help!! If anything I can
help you with, feel free to let me know.

Hi atieh, How long does your monitor stay on after you push the screen-power button? And after it turned off by itself, you go check the image on screen without pushing any button by using my method above (USING FLASHLIGHT). The inverter board is the circuit board inside the monitor. This board controls monitor power, signal input and output from VGA card. If there is something wrong with CCFL lamps, it will shut down by itself because of circuit safety. As I mentioned last time, it is not too difficult to change the lamps. Could you tell me the specification or data sheet of your monitor?
