I've got 2 Ipod, for some reason I'm unable to send my music from my playlist to download onto them. One keeps reading as an camera. What do I need to do also to free up space on the Ipods to reload more music?

How Do I Download Songs Onto My iPod Nano?
IPod Nanos are portable multimedia players that allow you to playback songs and other content (e.g. video) no matter where you go. Easily, you will have to go into the itunes settings and configure it to manually transfer/sync songs and playlists. After that you can move files from your computer directly onto your ipod via drag and drop or you can create a playlist and place the playlist on your ipod in itunes via drag and drop.

You will see a new "untitled playlist" Folder, on the right side bar in the iTunes window. Name that folder as you see fit.

Now take all of your music that you want to add to the new playlist, from the iTunes Library and drag all those songs into the playlist.

* From here, you will need make sure your iPod is connected to your computer and that the device is showing up in iTunes.

Unfortunately iTunes doesn't let you transfer anything other than your iTunes store purchases from your iPod.

Totransfer all your iPod content, all your music, playlists, videos,podcasts and photos to your new iTunes library you will need todownload software like TouchCopy.

Here is how to use TouchCopy

1. Download and Install TouchCopy. Downloads are free and are available for both PC and Mac.
2. Start up TouchCopy by double-clicking the TouchCopy icon on your desktop
3. Connect your iPod or iPhone to your computer. TouchCopymay start iTunes - don't worry, TouchCopy has fixed it so that iTuneswill not sync music or video with your iPod while TouchCopy is running.These changes are restored when you quit TouchCopy.
4. Now select which songs you want to copy into iTunes, if you want toselect all your music, select "Music" from the list on the left andclick on "Copy to iTunes" button in the TouchCopy control bar. In a similar way, you can also use TouchCopy to copy your playlists, videos, podcasts, photos, contacts, calendars and notes.
5. Whenyou are satisfied that all your iPod content is safely in iTunes, useiTunes to re-sync your iPod which will enable you to add new content toit.

You may need to take it to your nearest Apple store. that is a bad sign.

first of all, it depends on what mp3 player it is. but there is an obvious first step to ANY of them.
1) do you have it connected to the computer via usb?

Now that we are past the obvious, Here are a couple various solutions based on type of mp3 player it could be:
IPOD:

1) Download Itunes from www.apple.com
2) Install Itunes onto your computer.
3) Once it is installed, connect your Ipod to the computer, and it should register in itunes. Here, you can click on it, and go to your music.
4) Open a separate window with your music folder, and drag files from that window, to the Music area of Itunes. This is easy.
5) when you have all the music you want on your Ipod in the music list, press "synch". It will all go onto your ipod. and

Voila! you have music!!

Sansa:
1) forget rhapsody. its ****, ignore it, ditch it, it will charge you, and you cant even make playlists with it!!!
2) Open Windows Media Player
3) Open your music folder in a separate window
4) Drag and drop songs you want into a windows media player playlist.
5) Synch playlist to sansa.

OR

1) Still forget about rhapsody, it sucks.
2) Go to My Computer
3) Click on Removable Storage device (you should already have it plugged in at this point. the removable storage is said mp3 player)
4) Open a separate window with your music in it.
5) Drag and drop music files from your music folder into the removable storage disk. you wont be able to make playlists this way, but its easier.

Now almost any other mp3 player would work with one of these methods, possibly only with deviance in which program you will use. I hope this was of use to you.

are you trying to copy music onto a cd disk or onto your ipod. If you are trying to copy music onto your ipod, you will have to clear the ipod of the music that was loaded onto it previously, because it will not detect your new settings on your laptop. An easy way to do this is copy over your itunes music folder onto cd/dvd from your old computer and paste the music into your itunes music folder on your laptop. When you open itunes go to file, import file, and choose your itunes music folder. (If it hasn't aready automatically picked the music up). This will put all of your music back into the itunes library. You will then need to create another playlist for your ipod. Reset your ipod in itunes mode and upload your new playlist onto it.
