Siemens HF26066GB plate is moving when door closed and not moving when open

Have a shop look at this---there usually is a recessed safety switch inside the jam that will prevent the unit from working with door open--sounds like the problem may be with it.

My sharp carousel r-510 hwf microwave oven is not working. When it started, I lifted the door and it worked while I held it up a little. Now that won't work. Could it just be it needs an adjustment to...

Door catches.

One of the latches may be damaged or misaligned and is not lifting the other latch clear of the housing. Remove from any power source, remove the cover of the cabinet. Slacken off the clamp mechanism and ease the clamp over the guide to allow the door to open. When the door levers are in place, the door may be easily adjusted by slackening off the screws that clamp the door catch/actuators in place whilst holding the door closed and then tightening the screws. The rear of the door may be adjusted by slackening the lower door hinge screws and adjusting as required.
I hope that helps.

Door switches

If one of the door interlock switches is not switching properly or there is a condensation problem on the sensor control panel, either can cause the turntable/light/oven to come on even though the "Start" button has not been depressed due to the wiring of the switches.
Check for faulty door switches and/or contaminated actuators.
I hope that helps.

Turn table stop turning and wont heat

Your oven has a couple of switches inside that are operated by the door latches. One of them controls the power to the turntable and magnetron tube power transformer. The switch is either out of adjustment (which can happen if the oven door gets closed real hard) or is bad. I would suggest letting a professional check the oven and repair the problem. Door repairs have a direct effect on microwave leakage and it's better to have them done safely.

Myemerson microwave stopped heating in the middle of it's time, will not heat, plate does not turn, timer works, as does clock, everything else works but the heating and turntable

The trouble is most likely due to a door switch fault. There are switches operated by the door latch to make sure the door is closed, and they can go out of adjustment or fail. Replacing or adjusting the switch is not a difficult repair, but any microwave repairs should be left to a professional. There are potentially lethal voltages under the cover, and the danger of microwave leakage if the repairs aren't done correctly. If you want to keep this oven, get a repair estimate from a shop. Or consider replacing the oven if it's a basic counter-top model. They are usually under $50, and a repair will probably cost nearly that.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using Fixya!

My friend, I had hoped my remark would bring a little smile to your lips.

It appears to me that the electronic timer is stuck in the ON position for some reason and you are unable to get it gack to zero. There is a greater possibility that you cannot fix this than that you can fix it. If this is a high cost oven, it is probably worth a trip to the repair shop for resolution.

Most of the microwave questions I take are for no heat complaints - most of which find their way back to safety interlock switch problems (people (read me included) open the door while the oven is in operation) are caused by failure of these little switches. When we open the door with the oven running, the little contacts are burned and eventually, they are not able to report a "door closed" condition to the magnatron. In this situation, the magnatron will not come on because it thinks the door is open (forget what we know about the door, the oven must think the door is closed to turn on the heat.)

Anyway, I think you have a electronics problem and it needs professional attention to recover. I am not able to provide additional assistance in this case.

There may be other volunteer question catchers here that can give you some idea of what do do. I can say that repair parts are pbobably available from a advertiser.

Thanks for posting your question at FixYa.COM

Sounds like one of the door switches isn't working correctly. It may be bad or have been knocked out of adjustment if the door was closed too hard. You should have the oven checked by a professional. Repairs involving the door can result in microwave leakage if they aren't done correctly.

Sounds like the door switches are out of adjustment or broken.
I would take it to a shop for repair. Microwaves are almost always repaired affordably unless it is really old.
Hope ya fix it!

Blowing fuse problems

The door latch switches, and monitor switch assembly needs adjusting. With the door open the two latch switches should be normally open, and the monitor switch closed. Opposite way when door is closed. MAKE sure oven is unplugged before testing
