Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

I have a Lexmark 3400 series and it gives no problem copying, but when I press start to scan something, it doesn't register the request and it continues to say press start to scan.

You need to download and install the Scan driver and the scan manager, from Lexmark. Until you install a driver, Windows, doesn't know it exists.

You can actually scan directly to an application(ex. MS Word application). Also, make sure the Lexmark OCR scan software is installed on your computer (the software is available on the install disc that came with your printer).
1. Load an original document into the ADF or on the scanner glass. 2. Press Scan Mode. 3. Press ? or ? repeatedly until the MS Word application is highlighted. 4. Press check button. 5. Press Start Color or Start Black to start scanning.

How can I scan without problems on a lexmark x3470 all in one


Hi..

To scan a document using the Lexmark Imaging Studio on ur Lexmark X3470, follow the steps given below:

1. Go to "Start," "All Programs," Lexmark X3400 series, "Lexmark Imaging Studio."
2. Click on "Scan," "Save edit or share."
3. Under "What are you scanning" choose the option as "photo," "several photo" or "documents."
4. Select the location to save as my pictures or other folder on your computer.
5. Click on "start" to scan.

To make a standalone copy:

1. Load the paper.
2. Select the "Copy quality" you want.
3. Open the top cover of the All-In-One.
4. Place the item you want to copy face down on the scanner glass. Make sure the upper left corner of the front of the item aligns with the arrow on the right of the All-In-One.
5. Close the top cover.
6. Change copy settings as needed.
Press "Black Copy" or "Color Copy."

Try using the most recent updated driver for your printer.

use the product finder to select your exact model and operating system. download the file and save to your desktop. after download is complete, close all browser windows and run the install program. This will properly install the correct driver for you.

HELP SCANNING OR FINDING A SELECTION TO SCAN


There should be an icon in the system tray (bottom right corner of your screen). It is white with different color blocks on it. If you hold your mouse pointer over it it says something like "Lexmark Imaging Studio". Right click on it and choose "Lexmark 1200 Series All-In-One Center". This will start the scanning application.
