Question about Nikon COOLPIX S6 Digital Camera

Deletion option for "all images" has gone missing

I want to delete all pictures at once, but the camera only gives me the option to delete a single picture at a time. How can I delete them all at once, when the camera doesn't give me the option anymore? (It used to.)

Delete pictures from camera? How?

When you are viewing your images on the camera, go through them until you come to the one you want deleted. Then, hit the physical MENU button on the right side of the control wheel (circle...whatever it's called).
You should see three choices. Protect, Delete, and VOLUME. Press down (the minus, or "-", part on the the bottom of the wheel control) until you get to Delete on the screen. Then, press the center button (the silver one inside the wheel - it may not be silver on your camera, I don't know, but it's the same button anyway).
Your next choices will be "Single" and "All". Choose "Single" to delete the single image on your screen. Choose "All" to delete all images that are in your camera's memory (this would be all of the images saved on your SD Card).
But, let's say that you just want to delete this one image. So you choose "Single". A dialog box will come up asking if you want to delete the image. Make sure you choose "Yes" if you do want it deleted. Once you do, the image will be deleted and gone for good. After this, if your menu choices are still open, physically hit the "Menu" button on the right until all the menu boxes close.

I need to delete pictures from my samsung L100 all at once. It only allows me to delete single pics.. Can you help?

One way to do this if the camera does not have the function itself is to connect the camera to a computer with a USB lead. Then you can access the camera memory like any disk drive, select all files and delete in one go. You will need to install the driver supplied with the camera to do this. Samsung do not advise that you remove the memory card and connect it to a computer with a card reader.

However, this camera DOES have a function to delete all the images. You need to enter the Playback menu, select DELETE and press the right arrow button. This will give a menu selection for selecting an image to delete or deleting all images.

If you don't have the manual anymore, there is a downloadable user guide for this camera on the Samsung site here:

How do I delete pictures on my camera?

Use the camera's manual. An electronic version is here:
Page 74 tells you how to delete single images OR all of them at once and should be simple to follow. Delete images using this approach. In general, it is better to delete them on the camera and NOT on your PC. From time to time, 'Reformat' your media card - it helps keeps the system on the card 'clean' and in best condition for new images. Format/reformat your card as described in the manual

How to delete pictures from samsung L200

To delete a single image, select the image in view mode by pressing left/right buttons, then press delete button (little garbage can symbol). To delete more than one image go through images and press T button (zoom button) for each image you want to delete to mark them for deletion, then press ok to delete the selected images. If you want to delete all images, just format the card. Hope that helps

Deleting Images from the camera

You can do it in the computer is that is your route with a card reader. But deleting single images should be routine What does the manual say?- remember there is usually a more comprehensive manual on the software disk. Also 'Delete' may be referred to as something else 'Edit' for example
