Question about Vizio VP322 32 in. Plasma TV

Tv starting turn on slowly, now there is no picture nor sound have checked all connections and outlets and they are fine. Also tried resolving issue per the trouble shooting guide without succes. Please advise , thank you

If you had a problem where had to turn it on several times at first to get it to come on, someone needs to open it and follow the power cord to the power supply board and look for any puffed up on top filter caps--

very common problem and I am attaching a photo here so you know what they look like; top should be perfectly flat and not puffed up. Usually there will be 3 to 7 bad ones.

Insignia TV has jumpy picture is it the settings or connection


I would first start by checking the connections to ensure they are secure. Also check and see if by plugging it into a different source outlet, if that would resolve the issue. You can try replacing the cables to see if that helps too. If not, then it would most likely be a settings issue. Try to power cycle it: turn it off, unplug it and leave it unplugged for a few minutes. Turn it back on, plug it in and restore settings to factory defaults.

Still experiencing issues: You would need to seek service repairs.

We just got a panasonic pt52lcx15 tv from a neighbor the tv works fine turns on has sound etc for about five minuets then powers down and the red lamp indicator flashes for about 1 time every 5 seconds


Try disconnecting all of your HDMI cables and plugging the power cord of the TV into another wall outlet. If this resolves the issue, you may have had a small power surge from either your wall outlet or one of your source devices. It is recommended to connect your TV to a surge protector if you haven't done so already.

I'm sorry that the TV is not displaying pictures on the screen. Please follow the troubleshooting steps and check the operation:
  1. Please make sure that the connections are secure and proper.
  2. Please select proper input by using the INPUT or TV/VIDEO Button on the Remote of the TV.
  3. Try connecting a different video source like DVD player or VCR and check the operation. If it works with another device, the issue might be with the input device currently.
  4. Also try connecting the device to a different port in the Computer if no other devices are available.
  5. If the issue persists, try with a different cable.
  6. Perform a power resetting and check the operation. To perform the power resetting, unplug the TV from wall outlet for more than 2 minutes and then reconnect it.

If the issue persists, after all above troubleshooting steps, service may be required. You can click hear to setup a service for the TV.

Also it would be good if you can come back with the model # of the TV to check whether the issue can be resolved with a firmware update.

Hi,

The Standby/Power light of the TV blinks when there is any internal malfunction in the TV.
The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue. As per the two examples below, some of the issues may be resolved without the need for service.
If the STANDBY light flashes three times in sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to resolve this issue.
If the STANDBY light flashes four times in sequence, the TV may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back of the TV is well ventilated.

If the flash sequence is not listed above or the light continues to flash, follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Try the following steps to check if the issue can be resolved.
Turn off the television.
Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

If the issue continues to occur, service may be required.

My HDMI set top box display reads "no input signal" but everything appears connected. I have no picture or sound. Cannot access any tv stations.


Make sure TV is set to HDMI channel.

Try a different HDMI port on back of TV.

Reset the cable/sat box and reset the TV by powering off both and unplugging them for the wall outlet for 30 seconds. Turn cable/sat box on first, and then TV after 30 secs.

If this fails, check the TV manufacturer's website to see if they have any software upgrades that will resolve the HDMI issue.

Are you connecting the tv to your source using the DVI, component (Red Green Blue + 2), or composite (Red, Yellow, White)?

Try switching the type of connection you are using. If you are connected via component, then switch to composite. If the problem persists even on composite connectors, then the issue lies with the TV. If the composite cable works fine, then the problem is most likely the cable you are using.

Press the sleep button, and make sure the sleep timer is set to OFF.

Unplugging the TV from the wall outlet resets the TV.

If you have a cable or satellite box connected to the TV, then try resetting the box also by turning off/unplugging from wall outlet.

Surge protectors can cause some occasional anomalies with LCD TV's (they're still a good idea) - just reset the TV to clear up these anomalies.
