First, re-seat the lamp. Remove it then put it back in. Make sure that the lamp is properly installed.

Be sure also to tighten the lamp cover. It that did not help, check the exhaust of the projector and be sure that the air is properly circulating. It the projector is dirty, that might cause the overheating from inside, and shuts the projector off.

Good luck!

    Thank you!

I think it's the ballast and/or power issue. Once you turn the projector on, initially, it's not getting too much power from the power supply, and the internal components (such as capacitors and resistors).

Once it switches to the video, the projector will suddenly require a big amount of power. If the capacitors cannot provide the require power, it will cause the projector to shut down, and resistors might become busted.

You may try checking it, and see if there are any swollen capacitors. It's okay if you have basic electronic background, and if the projector is out of the warranty.

However, if you're not sure what to check, I would suggest to contact a pro and have him repair it for you.

    Thank you!

How to change the light bulb in a maytag 8114P732-60 oven

Hi Mary. I had a bad bulb in my Maytag new from the factory. I also had a hard time getting the glass lense cover off, and didn't want to be too rough with it for fear of breaking it. But it WILL come off if you turn it hard enough. I've since seen suggestions about putting warm water on it to loosen it up. And another person wrote and said using an oil filter wrench on it worked like a charm.
Good luck

Take the lamp out and check for physical damage. Some lamps come defective and can shad (brake glass inside) upon warming up. The "pop" sound could be it.

Makes viabration noise when blubs installed and blub start flickering. it is six year old Whirlpool gold & just startered happing

It sounds like the bulb is not making good contact with the socket. Try this.

- Unplug the refrigerator.

- Take a blow dryer and heat up the socket where the bulb screws in. Do this for about 1 minute only, be careful not to over heat the plastic side walls so direct the heat on the socket to make sure nothing else gets too warm.

- Retighten the bulb into the socket, this warming will allow the bulb to seat better and tighten up more.

- You can use this same technique when you need to remove a bulb, a warmer socket will let the bulb come out and go in easier.

If this is a DLP, which I believe it is, your bulb is blown. Look for an indicator light on the front of the tv. After you hear the bulb try to warm up two or three times the indicator light should come on and stay on steady.
I own a 57" Mitsubishi DLP and have replaced the bulb three times now. It was the latest and greatest technology when I bought it, but knowing what I know, I dont think I would buy another DLP.
By the way, get the bulb number then check ebay, by far the best prices.

Hello, Greetings from Hamilton Ohio. I have a 54 inch Hitachi rear projection television and I believe the bulb is getting ready to go because it takes about four or five minutes before the picture comes...

And greetings from York PA!
Ok I have read what you were saying about your TV and after much consideration I dont think its the bulb because a bulb does not get better as it warms up! (most bulbs that are bad get worse as the TV warms up!) But capaciters do act this way when they go bad (stable when they warm up!) so I would have to say the control circut has one or more bad capiciters on it and will need replaced!
I hope this helps greatly!

Scanner bulb warm up

I have the same problem and it seems that the only way to fix this is to replace the scanner bulb. The problem is that, as far as I can tell, the bulb comes as part of the scanner assembly - and so you have to replace the whole scanner assembly. It is quite expensive - 200 to 300 dollars Canadian. There are whole machines available for $300.00 though so is it worth repairing if one cannot just buy the bulb? Ger.
